Just thought I'd drop by and say I've started my journey of getting more healthier and building my
fitness
levels by taking my first steps.... I'm a little unfit so even after a minute of running I was happy for the walking part to kick in.

It came as a bolt out of the blue as I'd always considered myself to be a fit and healthy person and was conscious of
fitness
, diet etc. I know from reading the posts, it was the same for a lot of people. So it takes a lot to get your head around it.

Week 6 & had my first struggle!
I used to push myself to go to gym classes (last time being 4yr ago before I became a mum for the first time) but
fitness
has always been a bit of a challenge for me ha.

3K for Mr Garmin 😊
As I was running the first couple of kilometres, I was thinking about
fitness
age and I thought I would do a 3K with a fast (for me!) third km and see if my
fitness
age on Garmin improved significantly. I don’t really take much notice of this, but I was just curious.

How to stop becoming unwell after physical activity?
I have a passion for
fitness
- I love to walk, run, exercise and do yoga amongst other things but I can never progress in these activities because the weeks that I am unwell after physical activity set me back and then I am back to square one, only to try again once I recover and the cycle repeats itself

Scrap yesterday’s happy post, I lied!
So I thought I felt fine yesterday, a great time to go for a walk, rebuild some
fitness
ready for this surgery! Wahoo, the worlds great! Well, i went for a slow stroll through Skipton woods, not far from my house! Didn’t push it! Was outpaced by pensioners 🤣. So I got home and I was exhausted!

Week 1 HM training complete
I have I have definitely lost some
fitness
and speed (I was slow before but even overtaking walkers is hard going). Six miles today in the snow, puddles and mud! A big grin and slightly sore upper back muscles and I’m feeling my mojo return. Hopefully I’ll be back up to 10 in no time.

See through leggings!
I ordered a lovely pair from Start
Fitness
and was delighted with them, until I tried them on. They are completely see through! I know I just asked for bra recommendations (thank you all!), but if anyone has recently bought some thermal leggings at a reasonable price, please share!!

6 Months Post Ablation
I am now just concentrating on getting well and trying to improve my
fitness
level. I will definitely continue to be in this forum as I believe in sharing our unique journey as fellow AFibbers and learning from others on how to cope better with our condition.

Perfect timing ...I think I’m just reaching full
fitness
for the start of COGH next week... bring it on ❄️ When I started C25k and joined HU last May, I was 61 (hence the name).

No more running for me for a while!
I could feel my
fitness
had dropped a bit but was so pleased that I could still run for that long without feeling exhausted at the end of it. I was so looking forward to building up my stamina, duration and distance again. Then this weekend....disaster!

W8 R2 - Done - but that was tough !!!
I don’t have the euphoric feeling of having been out and it felt “GREAT” I’m just pleased I did it, each run (good or bad) is adding to my
fitness
and Its only 1 bad run out of many good ones and let’s hope the next one will be better !!

Motivate RA - RA and exercise study from Liverpool John Moores University
Hello all, Hope this is okay to post here - I heard on Twitter about a new study being run out of Liverpool John Moores Uni looking at whether 'mobile health technology' (ie
fitness
trackers and apps) can help with exercise in RA patients.

Happy Running Valentines Day
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Thought I’d drop this here, as well as on the Strength and Flex Forum, as these forums have been such an important social support for me, both for running,
fitness
and for general well-being in these challenging times.
