Hey guys... I’m 34, m and I have lost 284 lbs naturally over the last 4 years. I have had abdominoplasty and am looking for some feedback on my other areas on my body... specifically chest, back and thighs. I would love to chat with someone around my age “ish” who has some knowledge, insight or personal

Keeping up appearances
I ended up in ICU for 90 days - it has taken me for ever to recover my
fitness
& sense of well-being - these sessions have greatly enhanced the quality of my life. Please message me and I can forward details.

Not a natural runner... What speed?
., so underlying
fitness
is there. Being big, always hated running.. Just completed week 4 of C25K pretty easily (I've been adding an extra interval on the end) but wondering if my pace is right... Week 5 is getting serious... I've been walking at 5.5km/h and jogging at 9.

Back to square one, I miss ndt so much..
has dropped to what feels like that of a 70 year old that's smoked 60 fags per day for most of their life even though I've tried to keep up with my usual
fitness
training.

Two years on
In addition to the weight loss and the improvement in my overall
fitness
, my mental health has, despite the uncertainties of the world we live in, been boosted to the point that I have been ant-depressant free for 9 months, having previously been on them since 2004.

Thank you for all the inspiration ...
Despite various lockdowns, my private life has become quite busy and exciting, all due to the wonderful world of all things running and
fitness
. But at some point I should stop signing up to these events, right?

My watch just loves me today, I have a
fitness
age of 20 (I’ve never seen that before!) which, of course, is ludicrous, but I have to post it for nowster 😉. Coffee followed by porridge ☕️ 🥣 and a good start to the day 😊

Just 11 minutes of fast walking
A New review of a study of 44,000 middle aged people who wear
fitness
trackers, published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, shows that just 11 minutes of fast walking can offset many of the long term effects of sitting still.

Just not right!
Still don’t feel anywhere near how I hoped to after these procedures and struggle with any sort of
fitness
due to occasional pain and constant shortness of breath.

Underwhelming graduation
I've purchased a weighted vest and intend to start the C25K program again while using the vest, in an effort to improve my
fitness
further while giving myself an incremental plan to follow.

Back at it and it felt great!
Just goes to show that if you keep up with running and set a good foundation that your
fitness
is still there even after a bit of a break. I have been working out at home, so I'm sure that has helped but even so I expected to find today hard.

Beta blockers and fitness tracking
One area where I still don't really have a proper "grip" on things (my autism makes this important to me) is that I have a lack of clarity on how to use my Fitbit Versa 3
fitness
tracker to properly track my heart rate and properly indicate when I'm doing "fat burn", "cardio" and "Peak" levels of exercise

Week 7 Run 3!
So it’ll be interesting to see how karate feels with my new found
fitness
! Of course the real test will be when I’m back in the dojo and I can train properly. Something to look forward to when restrictions are loosened!
