So, I thought i was cruising with Week 7 and W8 R1 was absolutely fine ... so didn’t have any gremlins in my ear this morning - but WOW ! That was TOUGH this morning !!!
I really didn’t WANT to go out and if I’m honest one of the main reasons I did was because I got a text from a friend ( who I’ve actively encouraged to participate in this C25k program) to say that she’s completed her run and it was “GREAT”
I’ve had a rough couple of nights sleep (waking around 1am onwards for a couple of hours, which is not unusual for me, but my sleep has improved recently so I’m really feeling the lack of good quality sleep with 2 consecutive rough nights )
But despite it being tough - it felt like a battle from around the half way point - I didn’t at any point think “I can’t do this” I just thought “this is a tough old slog - much harder than my last run” I was on auto pilot and my legs just plodded on homeward bound !!!
So, the point of my post is to say - even when a run is unexpectedly hard and you’re struggling with it - keep going... I don’t have the euphoric feeling of having been out and it felt “GREAT” I’m just pleased I did it, each run (good or bad) is adding to my fitness and Its only 1 bad run out of many good ones and let’s hope the next one will be better !!
I hope your run is better than mine but don’t be too despondent if it is !
