Well I did it - outdoor 3k for the first time in ages 🥳
Bit of rain and a rather fresh sea breeze but what joy to be out there and I felt absolutely fine. Almost reassuring to know the old moaner in my head that’s starts groaning at 5mins was still there but I batted her down skilfully and kept going.
Perfect timing ...I think I’m just reaching full fitness for the start of COGH next week... bring it on ❄️
When I started C25k and joined HU last May, I was 61 (hence the name). I had no thought of doing this running thing for longer than a year and had no idea of the support and friendship found here.
It’s my birthday this month ... should I change my name 🤔 or leave it be as a lasting reminder of when I started this crazy thing and how young and naive I was 🤣🏃♀️😁🏃♀️🤣

Well done 61lady.. I chose my title in the same way and I’m now a year older, so let me know if you work out how to edit it.. I tried but I can’t do it..Good luck with COGH..😊
You’ll see an option there to change your user name
Remember to save after making the change
Well done on your 3k run! You can edit your name by going into your profile settings, but there is a limit as to the number of times you can do it (I think it’s 3), so give it good thought. 😊
Thanks Delly-Dot. Worth waiting for after time on IC.Not sure I’ll do a name change - as I say, it’s quite funny that I actually thought this would be a short term thing 😀
Well done getting out for your run. I changed my name a year ago. I joined the forum during c25k thinking I’d only use it for that. At the time my daughter was newly pregnant with my 1st grandchild. My name was “Grannytobe” of course once my grandson was born last February, and I was still regularly posting on the forum, a new name was required- little did I know the importance of hugs a month before we entered lockdown last March. Happy running 🤗
