Hello everyone! Hope all of you are doing good. Have not been logging in here for quite a while as I have been busy with work after the ablation Like my husband told me ...You did not do the ablation just to return to work at full speed Reminds me to take it easy ... and to slow down.
Just to update everyone that it has been six months since I did my cryoablation.
So far so good. No AF. I have been well and have been taken off antiarrhythmic drugs ie sotalol. I would recommend it in a heartbeat if you are eligible and have been offered one by your EP.
It has definitely improved my quality of life. I have suffered from SVT since 2009 and had AF (paroxysmal ) in 2016. Been on Dronedarone, Flecinade, Sotalol and Bisoprolol.
Thank you everyone for all your support all these years, it means so much to me especially when I felt so helpless whenever AF strikes. And before the ablation, all those Fact Sheets as recommended by this Forum I have read them all and they have been really really helpful.
My cryoablation was not without any incidences but with an exceptional EP I was lucky that everything went well in the end. I was home just after an overnight stay at the hospital. I checked in a day earlier for my CT angiogram. I was so happy I did it and I am keeping my fingers crossed that these (no-AF days) may last for a long long time to come :).
I am now just concentrating on getting well and trying to improve my fitness level. I will definitely continue to be in this forum as I believe in sharing our unique journey as fellow AFibbers and learning from others on how to cope better with our condition. With the pandemic and the after-effect of the COVID-19 jabs it will be great to know how everyone is doing and how it has affected the heart.
Till then, stay well and safe everyone!
