Stress Ball for Hand
But I've noticed that possibly the most impacted part of my body is my hands, which I pay little attention to
exercise
wise. The other day I found an old sponge stress ball that I now play with if watching TV. Good easy
exercise
while lazing.😊 Might be a good purchase for a few pounds

Advice on Avoidance and Resistence
While I understand many of the techniques that will lessen my anxiety, like mindfulness,
exercise
, exposure to uncomfortable things, I find that since I am trying to do this on my own, I have good days and bad days.

Sharing my experience of having the flu with Parkinson's...
It also made it impossible for me to continue with my daily
exercise
routine. Thankfully, as I now recover from the flu, my symptoms are slowly returning to normal and I am progressively restarting my
exercise
routine.

Effects of medications
I was told that only
exercise
is so I do that. Some believe that nicotine is so I have been on nicotine gum for several months. So far I have not noticed progression. My primary symptom is weakness in my dominant hand.

I'm not sure if it's screen use,

or stress related. Does this ring any bells for anyone? Thanks Colin

Tai chi ?
Just wondering if Tai chi might be a rather good
exercise
for folks with PMR? Before Covid and then PMR stopped my competitive table tennis and sailing I kept pretty fit, but a recent ‘gentle’ game of table tennis was a brutal reminder of deterioration!

I’m not overweight, get plenty of
exercise
, practice yoga, don’t have caffeine at all and only the occasional glass of wine at the weekend. Is this associated with PMR or is it a side effect of pred?

I’ve tried watching what I eat and
exercise
regularly but still am overweight. Does anyone have any recommendations or has anyone tried metformin? I’m breastfeeding still so I’m not sure if that’s even an option.
