blood in urine

Prostate removed have been on adt for 3 years & xtandi treatment for 3 months, I exercise a lot. Today I did floor exercises, weights and swam 500 meters fast.

When I went to the bathroom to urinate it was all blood. I was told by my oncologist to go to the hospital if the second urination is all blood and have a catheter put in until it clears.

I have no pain or other problems and my past psma 1 year showed only two extremely small areas of interest.

Anyone had this problem?

Hi Stevegr,

Could the bleeding be a radiation side effect perhaps? I had a lot of bleeding problems both in urine and stool from my radiation treatment which has healed since.

Could be a kidney stone and unrelated to PCa. I saw some blood in urine after a harder running workout. Got same advice. I had a kidney CT and Cysocoscopy and Urologist saw a small stone in bladder. It passed and no more blood. These tests will also help to rule out bladder and kidney issues. Always important to stay hydrated! Just food for thought.

Thanks. I worked out realy hard the day before plus a 600 meter fast swim. I always drink a lot of filtered water so I doubt stones are the problem. I agree it has nothing to do with my prostate

Can you share where you had your PSMA PET/CT? Υγεία, Βιοϊατρική, Ιατρόπολις, Metropolitan, or other.

I’m stage 4 and last Christmas, I started to pee blood at the start of urination. A cystoscopy revealed an aggressive poorly defined adenocarcenoma - the prostate cancer had migrated to the bladder. I’m on chemotherapy now. For peace of mind, I’d go through a cystoscopy. Let them have a look around.

Was it a little blood or lots ? Is it still Prostate cancer or bladder cancer ? What did they do for it ?

Just a splash at the start. It will be leeching as the cancer grows. Not much to be done except try to keep it down for a while.

In your case, probably kidney issue, but a camera would probably provide reassurance.

What did they do to stop the bleeding?
