Options for pain relief what are there?
I went straight from a
back
injury
to RA. Last time I saw the GP I asked to stop and go on to something else but he refused. Needless to say it is no longer wo Int for the pain and I only take it out of desperation to get the even a small benefit. What are other people on?

Injured, busy, back at it, where to start?
This has resulted in me having some time off from running, I did manage a couple of runs peppered into the month and a half(ish) since the
injury
. I’m getting
back
into the swing of things, but not really sure how I should approach this.

Cogan's syndrome
My daughter has recently been diagnosed with Cogans and although picked up quickly within 2 weeks of symptoms has suffered hearing loss. Does anyone in the North East see a doctor who has good knowledge of Cogans? Thanks

Gently does it coming back after injury
So ... finally got back to running after a 5 week gap caused by an overdoing-it-at-the-yoga class injury! Made a mistake of doing first ever yoga class the day before parkrun. The over-stretching didn't "come out" till after my first Parkrun (respectable time of 37 and a half minutes), when I found

parkrun report
I wasn't sure I could do it but I there were a few people there like me,
back
after time out with illness or
injury
and all feeling exactly the same as me. We gave each other a bit of a pep talk and off we went to the start line.

My name is Tracy I'm 54 and have a
back
injury
that has for the last 5 years feel sorry for myself and make excuses - now my weight is affecting my back and mobility and I need to take control - my downfall is sweet things - I love healthy food and cooking and preparing it's that sweet thing I crave

Silver ring splints
My rheumatologist is sending me off to see a 'hand therapist' in September. I think in may be an OT, or physio trained person, but this is the title that is on the appointment letter. The things she hopes that they will look at are much like Occupational therapy, or physic tasks, but specifically they

TOO SLOW…………………...TOO FAST
This according to many sources takes 10 to 12 weeks, although full development continues for many months and years. https://www.runnersworld.com/for-beginners-only/when-to-run-faster As a new runner you do not have that base and if you push too hard you are risking

Retro Runners Updates
But the good news is despite stupid tart syndrome and a really stupid
injury
as result of said syndrome, I am
back
running again and my latest effort was a slightly slow 5k - but a run is a run is a run as Irish-John always says. Yay.

Dipyridamole
Hello all. I've been doing some reading on Dipyridamole (Persantine in US). Does anyone take this drug and/or have any thoughts on its use in APS? What advantage does it give to APS sufferers? Is it used WITH Coumadin? How about Plavix? Does Dipyridamole have advantages over Plavix or Aspirin

So I am back.....again 8)
I came
back
from the
injury
much too soon last time, much to the annoyance of my physio. Now she has given me the all clear, if I am sensible, and curb my competitiveness (hate people passing me while I am running). So I have just done W1R1.

Time to go again !
Well after three years, a very bad knee
injury
and an extra stone and a bit I'm
back
in harness. Following the half marathon I fell back into old habits, hence the stone increase.

Getting back into it after injury break
I have been unable to run for several weeks having put my back out. I believe it was dong a yoga class before my first Parkrun that did it. The week after graduating I did two full 5k runs, then a yoga class (first time) the day before the Parkrun. Did the Parkrun but noticed back pain after it.

Potassium iodide
When my son and I became suspicious about 2 years ago that we might have an iodine deficiency, we stumbled on Lugol's Solution and took 3 drops of it in our food for a few months. Extensive reading brought me to "Betadine", a potassium iodide solution sold in stores as an anti-biotic for scraps and minor
