I finally got my sublingual buprenorhine!
Hi everybody! Thanks to this forum I finally got a neurologist who was willing to prescribe me 0.2mg sublingual buprenorphine tablets. I've been on 100 tramadol for two weeks and was wondering which would be the wiser way of switching from one to the other and finding the right dose. I'm a bit worried

Drug resistance post ICU Delerium
Since ICU and delerium my brain chemistry changed significantly. After years of treatment for anxiety I no longer needed anything on discharge.I also found alcohol and pain relief now has little effect on me - Oromorph, Tramadol, Fentanyl - nothing. I cant find any research or information on this, and

PET scan follow-up
I finally heard from the onc about my Joe’s recent PET scan. His PA said the doc said it ‘looks good’. This is the same doc who said Joe’s pneumonia was cleared up and his lungs ‘looked good’, when the report in Joe’s file noted pneumonia and that his lung was still collapsed……so I’m waiting for the

Hi All, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor grade 2 Ependymoma in March of 2024. I had surgery but the doctor could only remove 10 To 15 % because of the location and several nerves surrounding the mass. I had radiation but after completion there was no change. Didn’t shrink but also didn’t grow.

Finally on opioids and it's not working
So after da augmentation, no results with gabapentin and two unsuccessful iron infusions I finally got a doctor to give me Tramadol. I'm aware buprenorphine is a better option and I'm pushing for that, but meanwhile, the 50mg of Tramadol is not doing anything. How long should I wait to increase the dose

Update Day 4 of Treatment for Richters Transformation
Had a major hick up day 4. The beginning of an anaphylaxis reaction. Chemo stopped. Rapid response team called and in my room in 2 minutes. Got IV benedryl, epinephrine, Pepcid. Things resolved pretty quick but the lymph nodes in my neck enlarged so they ordered an mri stat. In the evening had another

Tramadol
I have had back pain for years and it has just gone again. Doc has given me slow release tramadol. He knows I have paroxysmal AF. One of the possible side effects is fast heartbeat. Has anyone else tried tramadol, did it relieve back pain, and did you get any unpleasant side effects? Thanks.

Tapering
It is some time since I posted anything about my PMR journey, but want to share my recent tapering experience. I have been on prednisone for 4.5 years and struggled over covid lockdowns being able to talk to anyone, gp or rheumatoid, when I was having what I thought were flares of pmr when trying to
