advice re knee pain.
hi, I’m a 58yr old, who suffers from an inflammatory arthritis, called ankylosing spondylitis, and mainly affects the spine but also peripheral joints. 10 weeks ago, I was on holiday in Devon, and suddenly noticed my left knee was buckling. A week later it gave way in the shower and I fell and gashed

Duloxetine with low dose of tramadol?
Hi all I’m hoping to switch from Amitriptyline (which is no longer working for me) to Duloxetine very soon. I also take cocodamol here and there and it really helps but I have to stop it ideally because of mast cell issues (a whole other story). Tramadol would be a suitable switch but I’ve read it

frustrated with gp re pain meds.
Ever since I had my stroke in 2018, I’ve not been allowed nsaids, due to the increased risk of further strokes. My then gp prescribed butec patches, which in the 5.5yrs have only been increased twice to the current 15mcg. I was given Tramadol for breakthrough pain which I don’t take too often. A box

Missing bank holiday again
Hi, does anyone else feel they are missing out on another bank holiday? I hope you all are feeling much better than me today, but I’m feeling so frustrated that I’m again in bed on tramadol and ibuprofen with my hot water bottle and have had to miss out as usual as I can’t get out the house with my

No rls after over 50 years
Although I'm not diabetic my sugar levels were always quite high. I decided to eat what diabetics eat and believe it or not NO rls for over a week. Ok I'm still taking 0.18mg mirapexin for 10 days which I alternate with tramadol for 3 nights but amazingly it seems to work for me. I had found wine was

Tramadol works
I’ve had RLS for 30+ years and suffered through many different medicines. I’ve been taking Tramadol for 20 years and it’s worked. My biggest problem is finding a doctor who isn’t afraid of opioid scare. Tramadol works and was not even considered an opioid for years. Now all of a sudden it’s dangerous

Tramadol for RLS
Interested in people's thoughts on using Tramadol long term for RLS. I've had worsening symptoms for about 10 years, and getting noticeably worse in the last year. I've tried ropinirole and pregabalin but only for a few days as they both made me feel terrible so they may well have helped if I'd stuck

tramadol labelling
I have been taking tramadol for years, and have always been told that, legally, the boxes must contain the triangle with the letters CD inside on the box to indicate that it’s a controlled drug. This is the second time I’ve received a brand I haven’t received before and the boxes don’t contain the

When the drugs don’t work
Where to begin… my poor Mum had her first hip replacement in 2007, but it broke and she had a revision in 2008. Unfortunately she was in more pain than ever, and they were about to write the pain off as psychological but thankfully she got referred to an Orthopaedic Specialist hospital who discovered

Pregabalin advice please
Hi all. I have 3 questions which I hope to get some guidance on. I was taking 3 tramadol (150mg) and 150mg Trazadone which generally prevented all rls and helped me sleep. However I battled exhaustion every afternoon. My Doctor agreed to give me Pregabalin which I have now been on for 2 weeks. He

Tramadol versus Buprenorphine Patch.
Just a short post as I’m getting very depressed by constant pain from Severe Spinal Stenosis. I had a Laminectomy which failed (Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair also) now diagnosed with Heart Failure so no “normal” painkillers. Pain Management have advised me to try Tramadol prior to possibly using

Voltorol gel
I know this is probably a question for my nephrologist but getting hold of him is proving elusive. i have stage 3b ckd and have a constant (unrelated) bad back for which i take tramadol for. my question is whether it'd be ok to rub Voltarol (diclofenac 2.32%) onto back as used it before my ckd

tramadol
I was on tramadol for at least 10 years----100 mg. then my doc took me off because a neurologist put me on Clonazepam for REM/SBD (rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder.) But I was also getting cervical and lumbar rhizotomies...and still do every 12-14 months or so. I am now working with the VA
