At my wits end
I am from NZ and have been desperate with my RLS also for months, sometimes not getting to sleep till 4.30am!! I finally went back to my Dr saying something had to be done as I couldn’t carry on with no sleep. I’ve been on 1-2 Madopar for years but it just isn’t working now. As well as Madopar, I

AMG 509 personal update
I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend. AMG 509 is working for others, but not me. My last update was 30 days ago, and the theme was No News is Good News. Since then, back pain and neck pain have evolved to become my constant companions. My oncologist agreed to order scans at 4 weeks instead

I've lost all hope.
I am so fed up and at the end of my rope. I have been trying to get treatment for over five years now. There have been several GPs (due to the first one leaving the practice and Covid necessitating using who you are given). There have been several gynaecologists and scans. I get told one thing and

At my wits end
I need advice and the wisdom of the members of this group. I’ve just had my Gabapentin increased to 900 mg at night and my Tramadol increased to 200 mg from 150. I got about a week of half decent sleep before it went downhill again . I’m up every hour or so and it takes from 15-30 min to settle after

Pain relief
At the start, this is not meant tobe preachy or judgemental. I apologise in avance, if this offends any 1. Im 6 months in to fibro discovery, and see so many new people every day. This is predominately for newbies. I have seen how many long existing sufferers are on strong meds for pain relief. It terrifies

Swollen legs and ankles
Some time ago I wrote about the burning sensation in my ankles and feet at night. I thought it may be due to Bisoprolol 10mg. The consultant changed my medication to Dilthiazem but the pain has now spread to my knees and inner thighs. Also my legs and ankles are very swollen ant the skin is very red

Waiting in pain for the laparoscopy date
I was in emergency a few times due to fainting and very severe pain. I heard from them that I should not come any more to hospital, but wait at home for the letter, and in case of pains I should take painkillers because they would not help me. This is a drama. My fiance works in the afternoon and not

Daily Mail on RLS
Recognition of this horrible condition finally published in the main UK press! Without doubt a Dr Spinks mentioned in the double page spread article will recive many requests for help! From a personal perspective I can vouch for the understanding of RLS by the neurology department & sleep clinic of Guys

Skullcap for RLS
I have been having solid results using skullcap (American or Chinese and up to 3 grams nightly) in addition to 100 MG of tramadol. I have idiopathic RLS and SIBO and have tried just about everything I could over the last 35 years. It was quite normal for me to average 3hrs of sleep per night, so I find

Help is this normal..
So I have had a 4/5 year journey before going private to get my laparoscopy - long story short I keep putting the op off as I’m petrified and I need to loose around 1/2 stone. It’s a vicious circle for me with having endometriosis and wanting to snack and not eat proper foods as I’m constantly exhausted

Another Month ........ Another Fracture!🙄
I hope everyone is as well as can be expected? (Vain hope probably, but worth a try)!😉🤞Fingers also crossed for some nice bank holiday sunshine for everyone! (Cloudy here today). I posted in February about how I'd very stupidly fallen down a couple of stairs and suffered a periprosthetic femur fracture

DOMS
A really good dose of Doms today. Yesterday a quarter mile walk to the dentist, up 16 steps, down the same steps, and a quarter mile back home. Today it feels like my middle bit has been wrapped tightly with blunt barbed wire. Just waiting for the Tramadol and Paracetamol to kick in. Hope it only lasts

Tramadol
Morning, I am on 6/5.5mgs taper over 5 weeks and all going well so far. I have had an MRI of my left hip as I have been having pain and limited movement since last September. It shows moderate osteoarthritis and a cyst in the hip which is obviously rubbing on nerves, causing the pain. Due to see

Itching on opiates?
I am currently taking 600mg pregabalin and 50mg tramadol at bedtime. I subsidize these with taking cannabis (vape) if my RLS bothers me before 2am and a small shot of vodka if after 2am (wears off by the time I have to get up in the morning) to help me sleep. I don’t love my regime - I would rather
