Citalopram
Hello. I'm new in this community and I'm hoping I'm in the right place to get some advice for my 93 year old Mother-in-law. She's been on Citalopram 20 mg a day at 8am for about a year for depression. However, she didn't live near us at that time and I suspect the 'depression ' was the withdrawal symptoms

Tramadol
I personally only take Tramadol whenI am desperate as it makes me feel spaced out Although it does numb the pain.

RLS for 15 years. Now I avoid dairy and have eliminated RLS/ Periodic Limb Movement
Hi there, I'm a 40 year old female from Melbourne in Australia. I have two young children (2yrs and 5yrs) and I have suffered from RLS and Periodic Limb Movement for over 15 years. I didn't really twig what was happening but as the years passed by it eventually became untenable. I saw my local GP, then

Answer to query about tramadol
I have been on tramadol for a number of years and after taking everything in the universe to counteract RLS this is the only thing which is effective for me. It does however keep me awake which is strange it being a synthetic opiate I have had the horrible condition since I was 10 years old and am now

Timing of Ropinerole
I think the ropinerole can take anywhere from 1-3 hours to kick in. Maybe your RLS is just doing what it does until the meds start working. I have found that I go through that as well sometimes. It’s all a balance of when you take it. For me if I take it too soon I have dozed off during dinner ( we

I am so fed up now. I had a lap in March to get rid of endo tissue, had a month pain free and now I’ve been in a lot of pain the last few weeks. Daggers in my abdomen and pelvis, shooting pains down my legs, cramp in my knees and my shoulders, nausea, acid reflux, pain when I got to the toilet. I had

Desperately getting off short term Tramadol - update
I have written about my problems with this three months ago and there seemed to be a lot of interest as well as much very good advice, so I thought I’d give an update. You can look it up, but briefly, I was put on 400mg of Tramadol daily for acute shingles pain and after three weeks tried to reduce

Vulvodynia aching and burning pain
Hi everyone, I am new here and this is my first post. I am wondering if anyone else has the same kind of pain as me? I was diagnosed with vulvodynia by a vulval specialist after a year of the usual merry go round of numerous doctors, thrush treatments, etc (even told it was lichen sclerosis). I also

Ibuprofen with Prednisolone?
Evening. I seem to remember reading on here that some members mentioned that they sometimes take a one off, larger than normal dose of brufen with a meal to try and knock inflammation pain on the head. I am nervous of doing this as advice is not to take NDAIDs with Pred but I think I’d like to give it

Zytiga and stomach pain; pain relief cocktails
Hello, guys. I haven't been on line much, as we've had a rough couple of months. We went to Europe in early January. My husband had some pain, but got through the trip beautifully. A few weeks after getting home, he picked up a produce bag at the grocery store and snapped his upper arm bone. He's since

Chronic back pain relief
Having been recently diagnosed with cirrhosis, I am looking for the best chronic pain relief for my back. I have a slipped disc and it's taking a long time to heal. Serious Deterioration whilst on biologic
Hi everyone, This is a long post, so apologies for that. I have been on a biologic Hyrimox adalimumab for a little over 3 months. At the start and very quickly it worked brilliantly to reduce pain and this lasted about a month. I then started getting far worse. The rheumatoid arthritis spread to parts

Went to see a chiropractor
Meds r great if they work but my concoction of
zamadol
, oramorph, pregablin , methocarbonal , paracetamol , amytriptaline , venlaxafine and voltarol gel were hardly touching the sides. So I said enough is enough I want another opinion and paid to see a chiropractor.
