Running Truths We've Discovered
I wondered if we could do a post on truths we've discovered on
running
. I graduated four weeks ago, did four weeks of consolidation and actually ran my first 5K distance yesterday. My thinking is to start training for a 10K distance and start
running
parkruns and some other 5K challenges.

Re-running W7!
This will be my third week of W7 but how impressed I’m with my stamina and energy by now. Just completed at an incremental pace between 6.8 to 7.4km. I know this is very average but not bad for a nearly 60 year old! Take care on your journeys 🙏❤️💪

Re-running W7
Finished on a high this morning! W7R3 was significantly more comfortable. My stamina is improving and I’m breathing easier: I’m now able to breathe through nose instead of mouth which is more effective for body. It amazes me that I’ve persevered with this journey for past 7 months and that I’m actually

🍎Running Red
There was an icy west wind and rain to greet me this morning & my immediate negative thought was, there goes my run… however late morning the rain stopped & out popped the sun! Perfect I thought as I quickly donned my laid out kit before I changed my mind! What I didn’t realise that the whole world

Christmas running
Well I have managed to squeeze 2 runs in. First the Christmas Day parkrun, a fab way to start the day, but now we're with family in Cornwall, so new territory to run along yesterday. I sneaked out abandoning the family (terrible grandma!!) and oh the instant freedom. A short run downhill to find the

Running out of options
I'm
running
out of ideas - and hope. If you have any ideas/recommendations for other things to try, I'd love to hear them and would be really grateful! I live in Washington State, so some options, like pscyllocybin (sp?) treatment, aren't available to me. Thank you, Beth

Running after Circumcision
So I somehow decided to get into
running
… and my long distance is now up to about 13 miles. But this week… I got back from my run to find an unexpected injury!! Fortunately it doesn’t hurt but when I came home to shower I found blood in my underwear!!

Recommendations for Running Watch
Thought I’d treat myself to a new
running
watch. Amazon have it feels like, zillions, so I thought I’d reach out and ask if there’s a particular brand to consider. Any help would be great, thanks

Running beyond 10k
If you have completed 10k and would like to explore
running
a bit further, there is a warm welcome waiting for you on the Fun Beyond 10k and Race Support Forum. Like the other forums, we have a range of ages and abilities and we are just exploring how far we can/want to go.

Running in Prague
Yes, I packed my
running
stuff, just in case. Having looked after poorly grandchildren last week, they kindly shared their germs with grandma, so over the weekend I was increasingly unwell myself, wondering if this break was a good idea at all.

Fatigue only when running.
Admittedly we live at altitude in the mountains, so
running
has never been "easy" but he is concerned about the change. Any thoughts as to the cause, and potential treatments, as this seems different from other definitions of CLL fatigue?

What is running to you? 🏃♀️🏃🏽🤔
I get so much from my
running
. It helps massively with my mental well-being, and of course my physical fitness. It has taught me I can do hard things and given me a sense of pride in what this (not so young anymore) body can do! I have the bling to prove it!

NRC million mile running challenge
For those who use the NRC app there is a
running
challenge for world
running
day. Runners all around the globe are contributing to a total of 1 million miles. There are still 12 days to contribute. There is a virtual badge up for grabs if it is achieved. Just a bit of fun with no pressure attached.

🍏Keep running, till you can’t
👋 Au revoir my
running
friends for a little while. I will be back as soon as my neurosurgeon gives me the go ahead and I will start from week 1 run 1 all over again! Keep persevering whether it’s
running
or in your personal life. You are courageous else you wouldn’t be here.

Running machines
My
running
machine after 15 years has finally given up the ghost. It nearly blinded me when the belt snagged yesterday and I was vaulted at the console. I have the shiner to prove it. 15 years old now and needs an update. So I am looking at Peloton Tread and Nordic Track commercial 2950.

w7 switch up
Second time on c25k finding it tough on w7 runs . huge jump in
running
time. it was putting me off
running
. So went back to w6r2 . instead of walking carried on
running
. Ran 23 instead of 25 for w7 runs. this was better and more importantly got enthusiasm back.

Nausea when running
I had a heart attack in 2021 and all is going well. I go to the gym and about to start the couch to 5k but when I jog I feel nauseous? So is this the motion and has anyone had the same?

Running insoles offer!👍
I personally love their insoles and moved from mostly
running
in support shoes to neutral with these inside - much better than the insoles that come with most
running
shoes! They suit all
running
gaits and are wonderfully shock absorbing - see egg experiment in Film My Run video below!!
