Re-running W7!

This will be my third week of W7 but how impressed I’m with my stamina and energy by now. Just completed at an incremental pace between 6.8 to 7.4km. I know this is very average but not bad for a nearly 60 year old! Take care on your journeys 🙏❤️💪

🍏👏Wow Heti that is a phenomenal distance. Your stamina & energy are incredible and after graduation you will take wings and fly! The last two weeks of the program will strengthen those legs, lungs & mental resolve all the more & you are going to enjoy them 👏☺️

Congratulations Heti ! Pace is one of those things that doesn’t technically matter for couch to 5k but it’s such a nice bonus to look at at and feel proud, You’re doing brilliantly! Keep it up!

That's really fast, enjoy yourself running and grinning, I know I would be at your speed

Just to clarify, is that the pace you’re running at or the distance you’re covering on your 25 minute run?

I walked the first 5 at 6.8kmh; ran the 25 at 7.4km and walked the last 5 at 7.0kmh today. 🙏

Ah fab! I thought so. I just wanted to make sure. Covering 7.4km in 25 mins would be hard for most of us to do at a conversational pace!!

You have permission to move onto Week 8 - you'll be fine, trust me.

Hi Heti

I also re- did WK 7 last week aged 59 ( I think it's the third time over about 4 years of stopping and starting. I've technically graduated 4 times but haven't been able to maintain a running 'habit' until now. I'm enjoying the runs more each time but find it helps to take 2 days between runs instead of one. I don't worry in the slightest about speed / distance but use the time spent running as my goal. So, today I did the first run of week 8 - 28 mins and what is great is that I can feel my strength / stamina increasing.

So, the point of this is to say that repeating the weeks as many times as you want is a great idea, it doesn't really matter how long it takes to get to the 5K goal and it definitely builds the strength / stamina to continue and improve. Keep up the great work!
