I had a heart attack in 2021 and all is going well. I go to the gym and about to start the couch to 5k but when I jog I feel nauseous? So is this the motion and has anyone had the same?

Nausea when running
Welcome to the forum! We’re a super friendly and supportive bunch. We’d always say we’re not medical experts and given your history, it could be worth a chat with your medical professional just to make sure there’s nothing you need to modify given your history. We’ve had lots of posters use couch to 5k as rehab and we all wish you well.
I sometimes feel sick when I’m running if I’ve eaten too much, too little or the wrong thing before running. That’s been a real exercise in trial and error to find what works for me-it’s really individual. That’s one thing to consider.
The other thing I’d immediately think about is how do you feel when you’re running? Is your breathing comfortable? Running too hard (which isn’t needed by the programme) can make you feel sick, so it’s possible slowing down could help.
We’ve got a guide with lots of helpful hints and tips. Well worth a read.

Hope you can find a way to beat the nausea!
🍏 Welcome to the forum!! Wonderful advice already given to you by MissUnderstanding In the early days of my running I had to have a little fruit juice & some plain yogurt before going out to walk/run otherwise I felt seasick! After a few weeks it all settled down. Maybe worth a try if you run early morning??
