Graduation run
I quit my job to take the summer off with my family,
quit
my 30 a day
smoking
habit, and started c25k after 20 years of no exercise and poor diet. Like most people here, I didn't really believe I'd ever run 5k, but with each passing week I felt better in myself and wanted to push on.

Today is the day
I have hubby's support (he doesn't know about the two puffs - haha xx) I've downloaded the
quit
smoking
app. I know it will go smoothly. Have no cigarettes in the house, stay far from town and don't drive. Will post later again!

My COPD history
Did not
quit
smoking
even after my Dr. said I must. Finally after 5 tries I was successful quitting about 15 years ago. My pulmonologist put me on 2ltrs of liquid oxy in 2004, so now it has been 12 years and I am still on 2ltrs. At rest my levels remain around 97 saturation without the oxy.

COPD and confused.
I
quit
three years ago after I started getting physically I'll from
smoking
. I will literally throw up and become sick and lethargic for 24 hours off one cigarette. I take it this is a good thing, as it has been a great motivator to stop.

Update and Info
I
quit
smoking
, changed my diet, became more active and felt better than I had done in years. Being only 41 this had been a shock not only to me but to my family and my GP. My GP was excellent after the fact, followed up on me and was always there if I had any queries.

Hi There New To This Forum
I have made myself a promise to
quit
smoking
after loosing a good amount of weight. I know this sounds like an excuse to continue smoking but i really cannot sort out the weight and the smoking at the same time. Anyway enough about me. I hope everyone is as well as they can be. Shaun.

Does smoking alter your personality? Help
I
quit
smoking
over a year ago and I'm starting to think that it's changed my personality. Not in a good way either. I don't want to smoke again but I'm struggling to cope with my stress without them. I'm irritable still and become angry really easily.

Little boost!
I started taking champix on 21st July as I had some left over from a previous quit as the nurse at work said she was going to be running a
quit
smoking
clinic, went to see her on28th July and she then realised there was some technical problem so couldn't give me a prescription so had to make an appointment

Two truths and a lie
Been diagnosed with COPD (truth), had to

I
quit
smoking
in January 2015 prior to a major surgery. Prior to quitting I always had problems with my sinuses. Deviated nasal septum has been the major cause. I knew something else was affecting me more so as I started to wheeze occasionally. I took a spirometry test in 2012 and 2014.
