Diagnosis of Sigmoid volvulus 3 weeks ago and an emergency operation via colon righted it temporarily.
I am recovering slowly from the shock of the above diagnosis. The surgeon said he will have to do a major abdominal operation (which he is reluctant to do whilst I am on Prednisolone, I was on 6 mg 3 weeks ago but now on 5mg) as healing and infection could be post operative problems. So I saw my Rheumatologist

Last November 2022, after a referral from my GP, to the hospital Rheumatologist, I was given a working diagnosis of Polymyalgia. I had experienced shoulder problems since 2019, and been treated with steroid injections, intensive physio, and Prednisolone, but throughout 2022, things had got really severe

Could this be PMR?
My friend is visiting me and has just told me the following story. In November 2022 she started getting an aching pain in her right arm. After a few weeks she went to her family Dr who prescribed codeine he said the pain was caused by small muscles in the bottom right hand side of her neck, he said

coping strategies
hi all, I finally had my results from my mri confirming I do have a small AN. At least I know what is going on now, but how can something so small have such an effect! I am on watch and wait with another mri in august. My main problem apart from getting my head around something that is never really going

Sciatica pain
I've had unbearable sciatica pain on top of my fibro, all down left leg, I'm using an elbow crutch to help me walk but also waiting to see specialist physio could take up to 10 weeks! I've been put on amiltryptiline 20mg per night as well as already being on pregablin 300mg x 2 daily and then cocodamol

I have asked for advice on this forum before but my bladder problems are causing distress. Because I cannot take Solifenacin though it worked well as far as the constant need to pee. It caused me terrible constipation which even with laxitives was difficult. Now my urethra is sore and some pain.

spasms
I have been having very severe spasm and pain in both of my legs the past two nights, the worst I have experienced to date. I am on muscle relaxants and tramadol for pain and carbidopa/levodopa for Pakinson like symptoms, none of which helped 2 nights ago and I ended up falling hitting my back and

Having to lose weight due to as health issue is hard
Hi everyone, This is my first post here and I just wanted to talk about something I’m going through that makes me sad, and know if someone has a similar experience… I’m 33, 68kg, 1,66cm. I’ve been lighter and heavier than this is the past. When I got to 72kg, I was not feeling well about my appearance

Physiotherapy and A Fib
Has anyone experienced an A Fib episode some hours after an intense
physiotherapy
session? I have severe osteoarthritis in my neck. The physio is to give me more movement in my neck which is very limited currently. I had to push through resistance to turn my head left and right.

Physiotherapy
ain't cheap, but it would be a worthwhile investment to undergo a body MOT. An expert can assess whether you have any areas of tightness or weakness that could ultimately lead to injury and can then advise how best to address this.

newbie and waiting….
Hi! I’m a newbie. Backstory: mom and both sisters have Hashimoto’s. My mom passed in 2010 & was told she had “inflammatory arthritis” a couple years before she passed (although by then that was the least of her medical worries). Flash way forward: I started having ocular migraines, very brief (10 seconds
