Pap17 hoping I am on way back
Another visit to the Physio today and progress is being made. Today, 3.5 weeks after my injury I have now been a week pain free and today I was given exercises to do using the gym equipment. This is progress as weights are now being used will see how I feel tomorrow after using the equipment today.

Ooh, going downstairs the following day!...knees ouch
Hi, I realise no medical advice can or should be given here, but oooh, going down stairs the next day! Also tiny tiny bits of swelling on the front outside of knee which go down after a rest day of care. I'm trying to improve my leg/knee strength with my yoga practices but am curious to hear others

An unexpected trip to the IC
You might have seen that the half marathon I ran on the weekend didn’t go as planned. There’s a long post about it over on the lovely Marathon and Race Support board, but essentially, at 15km I had to stop because of excruciating pain in both knees. It was a hard decision to make but absolutely the

Recent Tingling Feet
I noticed at night I was getting a nervy feeling in my right foot. Also faintly in my left foot. Some nights not there but seems to be getting more frequent. Say 3/4 on scale 1 to 10 i.e. just a bit annoying. When I rise it goes. History. I did have low B12 a few months ago and D3 was 50% low. Taking

Monsal Trail
If anyone has any doubts of the power of the HealthUnlocked Forums, today they can be put to rest. A group of us, who have only met as a result of C25K, the bridge and the marathon forums, joined together this weekend to run the Monsal Trail HM/10k in the beautiful Peak District. We are all different

HU HM training update
Hi everyone. Just thought I'd send a quick update on training for the HU HM. I'm kind of adding a KM to my 'longer run' each week and hoping to achieve HM distance by the date of the HU HM. Currently I am at 12K, however, I keep hitting this knee pain on my left side around 9K, despite a warm up before

Not my day today-DNF at the FoD :(
It’s fair to say that today didn’t go the way I expected. Yes, I haven’t trained as much as I’d hoped, and yes, some of training runs have been tough but I wasn’t in any way anticipating what happened today. A lovely meet at the start with SkiMondayand Cowladyrunning. It was much colder than anticipated

One last chance
Hi lovely runners, Hope you are all keeping well and enjoying your running journeys. Another update on my running or lack of running journey. As some of you know I have occasional flare ups of sciatica . Some mild and some where it can take me 20 mins to walk from one side of the kitchen to the other

Hi, folks. I'm nearly 70 and in the UK, fairly fit and well except for vaginal prolapse which started to be a significant problem just over a week ago. It is difficult to get to see a GP in our local surgery because they are so understaffed. However, I did get an appointment. It wasn't very helpful.

Burning
Hi I have burning in the rectal area. I have IBS with constipation. I had 2 colonoscopies within 3 years from 2017-2019 and all good. I was having a uncomfortable pressure gas sensation on my left side above my colon for a long time. That’s why he did the colonoscopies . Then I first experienced burning

Limited Scleroderma, Autoimmune issues, thymoma, metal implants in joints
I'm wondering if anyone has limited scleroderma and autoimmune issues, AND have had to have metal implants in any joint due to failed fractures? In May 2022 I stupidly tripped over my dog, fell heavily flat on my front onto a concrete floor, fractured my left kneecap and left wrist (radius). Both fractures

Latest Information after seeing Specialist Consultant
Today, I saw the Consultant Specialist who put the information of the Hospital Report and the MRI scan in to plain English. The good news is it’s not a muscle tear but a tear between the two calf muscles 22cm in length. It seems this is a rare injury with the Consultant only seeing two such cases
