Day 10 out of 15 I.v. Antibiotics at home, treating PCD I was born with.
Three Cheers! My respiratory physio came this morning, was pleased how good my lungs are now compared with before started I.v. I’ve noticed last couple of days not so much mucus, or coughing, so it’s good. After another 5 days hope nasties that have been enjoying partying in lungs for long time are

cool running today
up and out early (6-30 early for me🤣🤣). What a lovely morning for a little run. It had rained overnight and there was still drizzle in the air beautiful 🤩. Wasn’t doing a long run as going to see physio this morning re my hip. Off I trotted nice and slowly after a few warm up stretches and 5 minutes

patient Digital Portal letters
Good morning fellow spoonies! l don't know where else to turn so I'm hoping someone here might be able to help. I usually get my appointment letters through the patient digital portal and get a text notifying me that there's a new letter and I have to accept or decline the appointment. However

Is physical therapy effective for Functional Neurological Disorder?
Personally, I have found physical therapy to be quite ineffective as a treatment for my FND, which centers on gait and balance. I'd like to find out what other people have experienced. Has PT helped you a great deal, somewhat, or not at all? Thanks for your input.

Help/advice for the fatigue that comes with pain.
Hello, Just recently joined. I've suffered from pretty debilitating chronic pain for almost 13 years now. Coming up on the anniversary of my accident. Never an easy day on the calendar. I wouldn't say I have the energy to be desperate anymore, but I've tried everything. Two surgeries, the first

Spinal Stenosis
I was diagnosed with this condition almost 3 years ago and initially advised to consider surgery (not urgent) which looking at the details, was for me quite scary, so with some
physiotherapy
and occasional paracetamol help, I am coping.

Not in a good place, but...
I'm back. Things are going okay overall. Finished physical therapy and my symptoms are minimal now. Began working out again, which has been great for stress relief! Will begin painting again soon, so that's good. I still struggle daily however. Something very specific is weighing on me. There's

Has anyone experienced numbness in the hands with a loss of coordination following a seizure?
My brother had his first ever seizure in January, at first he was being treated in hospital for a suspected mini stroke after numbness in his left arm/hand, dropping things, confusion and headache. They kept him in for observation but the following day he suffered a massive seizure with full body convulsions

What to avoid with Physio?
Several people have recently written about pitfalls with physio and PMR. Have you any specific advice? Or articles you can refer me to. I haven’t had much luck looking. I have recently fractured my sacrum and my GP suggested physio, also for balance. My back flares easily, so am cautious. I have

How long do b vitamins take to work
Hi guys I hope you can give me some hope. I’ve had bilateral paresthesias in my feet and lower legs for a good year now and 2 months ago I realised that b 12 deficiency is a strong possibility. ( I’ve had loads of other treatment previously from chiropractor, physio and doing lots of core strengthening

Graduation day 😁
I went into this program with quite a few pains as result of previous injuries from years ago but did it with support from
physiotherapy
so if you have ongoing pains I'd recommend you check in with your GP or see a physio first and they may offer specific strengthening exercises or techniques to help

How do you deal with brain fog/difficulty thinking & concentrating?
I'm having trouble concentrating when trying to document my notes at work (I'm a physical therapist and work in a hospital and have to document my sessions with patients)... the severity of this problem varies but the last few days have been extra bad.. Sometimes people talking around me takes away
