I noticed at night I was getting a nervy feeling in my right foot. Also faintly in my left foot. Some nights not there but seems to be getting more frequent. Say 3/4 on scale 1 to 10 i.e. just a bit annoying. When I rise it goes.
History. I did have low B12 a few months ago and D3 was 50% low. Taking supps showed these to have risen to within scale (D half way up and B12 climbed up a bit. I take 25mg D3 and a B complex with 100% of each. Sometimes I take a B12 with a K. Sometimes I take a Boots multivitamin with a range of vits.
Today when I walked feet sang a bit afterwards. I am waiting for a foot X-ray as I went to the physio and reported the foot feeling. Not sure what that is supposed to reveal!?
Firstly is it possible to overdo the supps which bought this on?
Also any advice on experimenting with stronger B12 (as I see others needing injections but I don't think I am that bad.) or other vits.
PS I do not have diabetes and the blood oxygen in my toes is 97%. No loss of balance or muscle weakness.
Many thanks.

Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with iron/vitb12 deficiency and experience similar symptom of tingling in my limbs. Difficult to describe but feeling something like nettle rash, not painful. I've been prescribed iron tablets and have bought vitb12 1000mg. Since being diagnosed I have checked the NHS site for further info and found that I have been suffering many of the symptoms of deficiency for over a year but being unable to get a face to face with a g/p wasn't able to make the connection with seemingly random symptoms. The website states that omeprazole (proton pump inhibitors) impede the bodies ability to absorb iron/VitB12 etc so I've stopped taking it. Suggest you have a look at NHS site.
I was on omeprazole but my HHernia was no a real problem so stopped them long time ago. I have looked at all reliable sources and studied the advice. I find the feet exercises help a lot and try not to walk too far while (I hope) things recover. Old age against us of course.
