One (or more) steps forward- at last!

So unexpected
My lovely husband died last week. He was admitted to hospital with suspected aspiration pneumonia, which they said they had caught early. After 5 days, in which I couldn't see him or speak to him due to covid, they said he was medically fit to come home but as his mobility was so bad he needed physio

Hip niggles and the IC
About 4 months ago, both hips were niggling after a run. I ran a bit less, was poorly after the first jab, had a long distance house move, but tried to keep going. Niggles weren't going away and were bothering me at other times too. So, bit the bullet and got a physio in our new area. Reckoned a physio

Hallo I don’t usually join online groups - or any groups - but want to run10k again
I used to cycle- hurt my knee, used to swim but am only comfortable with breast stroke and it hurts my back. A few years ago I discovered I could run. It was my first ever gym session with a trainer. When I got on the running machine, I got a pretty instant endorphin hit. Apparently it’s weird that I

Advice ahead of appointment
Hello all, I am fairly new to the forum and currently undergoing a whole raft of tests for various things. I’ve always had irregular periods as well as issues with weight management, acne and hair growth. These have been more of an issue in the last year or so. I am also under investigation for endometriosis

Scared to run!
Morning all, as some of you know I have been plagued with a variety of injuries for the last 2 months. I went out last Sunday for 20 minutes and had awful knee pain for four days after. It's getting to the point where my running has been so sporadic and the results have been so annoying (and painful)

Physio or chiropractor
Can anyone advise me on the above please. I have had 3 weeks of muscle spasms in my back. Simply crippling. Dr said a physio would phone - she did 4 days ago and have heard nothing. Decided to go private so does anyone know which could be best for my problem. Getting me down now. Thanks.

Autoimmune related tests?
Hey so we're about to start IVF, had our first appointment in February, and need my TSH to be below 2.5, on meds for that. I have a couple of queries. I have Endometriosis (been excised in Jan 2021), and my Thyroid Antibodies are sky high. My yearly blood tests show high counts of Eosinophils and Basophils

Painful shoulders, plus arm and leg neuropathy following second covid vaccine shot. Does anyone have recommendations how to resolve this?
Two days after the second shot I had both shoulders start hurting and both arms were half numb/asleep. Nothing has improved except the arm numbness isn't as bad, except after I exercise or shoot baskets. Any suggestions? I'm awaiting (3 weeks) for the physical therapy department to call me for an

The Real Deal of MS
Hey Friends- Here’s more about the “Real Deal of MS” and me being real. I've been VERY frustrated lately and upset with my recovery. I could use some encouragement or prayers. This recovery from my severe relapse in March stinks and has not been going the way I want it to at times even though I’ve become

Physical Therapy once off of vent
Hey guys, it’s me again. I know we’ve talked some on this but how long did it take for some of you to be able to be mobile again after being on a ventilator. My dad has been off of the ventilator a week now and they’ve done some PT with him. He’s not actually gotten out of bed at all, but I know they

Neck /shoulder pain, tingling fingers, strange headache!
Hope this is the right place to post, I was looking for cervical radiculopathy as that is what my GP loosely suggested I may have. Sept 2019 I woke suddenly one night with severe burning pain across chest and back and shoulders, tingling to fingers both hands, it was intense. Saw GP - probably pinched
