Is it Fibromyalgia?
I was diagnosed with PMR in January 2021 and started taking Prednisolone. The following November I fractured my humerus and while I was recovering began to experience pain in my lower back and legs to the extent that walking was very painful. I had an X-ray of my lumbar region which showed degenerative

Iatrogenic Pain from Pul Rehab
Hi friends. I have been struggling for weeks with back and rib severe pain as a result of my over-zealous instructions and actions during and following my Pulmonary rehab sessions. I was housebound for 5 weeks and I am lucky to have friends do shopping for me. I began to miss the occassional session

Saturday walk ..... BIG Mistake! 😢
Well my back had been slowly improving and the PF in my right foot was not too bad .The weather was good and I really needed to get out of the door . I had barely moved since my bike ride . So I had absolutely no intentions of pushing this . It was just going to be a slow gentle walk on a 1k route. I

Hello lovely fellow runners , I’m asking for some advice please. I have been running consistently 2-3 times a week for 30-40 minutes since graduating c25k 2 years ago and been relatively unscathed injury wise. I did a slightly longer run last week but still did my stretches and since Tuesday so have

Comeback run in the sun!
This almost doesn’t feel worth writing up because it was such an ordinary, nothing special kind of run. The absolute best bit about it was that it was… an ordinary, nothing special kind of run! Thank you wonderful physio and all you virtual run buddies for keeping me positive while things are uncertain

Pls help with blood tests
I did 6 month of
physiotherapy
but that did not help me at all. Then I start feeling really tired and needed a nap during the day to feel better. The nap helped a lot with my pain. I was going like this for 2 years. I had vit d spray 3k for 3 months then a break.

Things are looking brighter!
It’s been almost two weeks since the ill-fated half marathon and things have been progressing well. Essentially, the plan had been a programme of exercises to strengthen my hips and glutes, no running to allow the injury to settle down and a couple of sports massages to help with tightness around my

mobility issues following pelvic radiation
I have CLL which has transformed to DLBCL(stage 1). DLBCL was located in my lower right pelvic area. Both are currently in remission following 6 cycles of R-CHOP and 18 radiation treatments to my right pelvic area. During radiation treatments I started experiencing tightness in my right groin/inguinal

Arm/Shoulder pain
Hi all. MF and Jak2 positive ET here. My shoulder got wrenched in January whilst playing ball games with my dog. It had started to get better but then my wife and I went to Barcelona for a week. I did lots of walking, plus had a camera and bag across my back/neck. This has aggravated even more! I've

Hi everyone, i hope we are all managing to plod along with your day. Ive had bad knee's for year but just put it down to horses when i was younger, riding, mucking out in the freezing temperatures and pouring rain etc but my main thing was showjumping and as you can imagine the strain on my joints.

Knee post op
Had my 32 staples removed and went to physio last week. The physio said I was doing well. Unfortunately over Easter it all went pear-shaped as I had a very high fever though of course I was convinced I was freezing and was rambling. 111 told my partner to ring for an ambulance which was pretty alarmist

Chronic back pain
Hi there, I'm wondering whether back pain is a symptom of UAT/Hashimotos? I have had it for well over 10 years now (like my hashis), but it seems to be getting worse. I tried to book an appointment with a doctor but when I turned up today I found it was with a physio who just told me I had to live

Now it’s calf pain and covid
Following on from my last post , Monday I got a message from my own GP - blood tests are normal, reduce Pred, which I did to 2.5, where I’ve been comfortable for 2months, not 2mgs to where I’ve recently tapered. Wednesday, physio appointment (private) for neck and head pains, very reassuring, exercises

drainage
hi I started drainage massage last week with physio. Not really knowing what to expect. First session she massaged with hands, second later in week she used a machine which I felt was rather strong and uncomfortable. That night my legs felt very alive and hot. Is this normal. I can choose which method

A walk in the sunshine
After Sunday’s events, I’m still a little battered around the edges but I’ve been reassured by my physio that walking, even with a little discomfort is good for me. It’s so hard to find anywhere flat around here (downhill is the worst for inducing pain at the moment) but I decided to brave a route around
