ohs, sternum healing, scoliosis, back pain: when can i do yoga etc?
Hi everyone. I had OHS in September... all went well thankfully. I have childhood scoliosis: I never had surgery or a brace, but my spine is not straight (S curve) and I have chronic low-grade back pain. Since surgery I have not done any of my usual exercises given to me by my physio, because obviously

Hi, After having my heart bypass in Feb and having back and shoulder pain since it was diagnosed today as Scapular dyskinesis. Apparently it's quite common after chest surgery and I have been prescribed physio and acupuncture. Has anyone here had this issue and how long did it take to resolve? I find

Hospital want to put me on Methotrexate - yay or nay?
I’ve had multiple surgeries for synovitis but no trace of RA - yay or no when no clear diagnosis? I’ve had RA blood tests at least 4 or 5 time - nothing positive for RA. Latest synovectomies on finger joints, histopathology shows no trace of RA. After surgery, joint moves freely without pain. 7 surgeries

Who is the best person to assess your pudendal nerve please?
Hi folks, I would like to go about getting my pudendal nerve checked out but who is the best person for the job please? Can a physical therapist do it or even a gastroenterologist or urologist do it? Does anybody know if this nerve can become irritated and inflamed by bowel movements? I'm still trying

Physio stalemate
I am fed up!!!! My physio can’t go any further even though I had worked very hard. He said I really have put the work in but until I start my new meds and get my disease stable we are at a stalemate. He feels my ankle needs further investigation but again until it’s stable no point. He can’t understand

Artrostatin side effects
Hi my physio at rehab suggested I took nystatin 40 mg in the morning as I was having trouble sleeping and my ramipril 2.5 at night. I also take Bisoprolol [ 25 at night and 76mg aspirin in the morning. Ceased Ticagrelor a month ago after one year. I had angina and a stent. The statin makes me feel spaced

Anyone received Incapacity or incapability to work?
I have recently applied for incapacity for work on UC but I feel very negative about my chances of getting it. I learned last week that the only doctor at my surgery who had any understanding of the condition and would have provided me with decent evidence has retired a couple months ago. Had I known

November Quest - 3rd Week on the Quest
Hello Everyone, This is the start of the 3rd week on the Quest. Hope everyone is doing well and getting on OK with their own Quests. I must be honest and admit that I am not doing great on mine. I have been struggling a little lately. But I was at a Physio today and hopefully that will help me out.

Hosp pt?
Thank you one and all for the kind wishes you have sent me over the last weeks I really appreciate them all I’ve had some dark days. I’m nearly home, have gone into supported housing for a week or two to get my strength up, have physio and generally have people around if I need anything. Still not

Running again soon
I’ve just had a phone discussion with the neurosurgeon and, overall, it’s good news. I had feared that another disc had bulged but the MRI scan I had in June has shown that there’s a little bit of scar tissue from the op I had in December last year (for which more surgery is not an option) and typical

Bone pain
Hi friends, Following an MRI scan, my physiotherapist consultant was kind enough to share an image he had got together, showing that I have three bones in my spine that have undergone recent changes. Normal vertebrae are square; these are rectangular and have oedema. He said that these changes are

To complain or not? That is the question!
Yet again i come across a medical person that wants to blame my ME/fibro for a body issue! Can anybody give me your thoughts? I have been under pain management for quite a few years seeing a specialist physio and her boss checking on progress every 3-6months. They were so kind and caring. In September

Now it is a little better with
physiotherapy
but he still can't lift it to shoulder length. It has only been 3 weeks since his discharge. I'm a little scared for him and have no clue on how to take care of him at home or what are the other symptoms that I've to be careful about in the future.

Feeling confused, brain overload, advice/thoughts please so can process this info.
I'm seeing him again in 3 months, in that time I should have been seen by
physiotherapy
and psychologist he will also ring me inbetween to check how things are. Literally didn't sleep last night trying to digest all this.

Severe stiffness and muscle pain.
Is it normal to have severe stiffness with ICU nyopathy. My husband is like a plank of wood in the mornings and the stiffness in his legs is not what his stroke physio is used to. He also has severe pain in his joints at night. Is this to be expected.

New Pelvic Pain Diagnosis

New symptoms since referral
Hi lovely people, I've got a question that maybe those of you who have been through the NHS referral system might be able to offer some suggestions on. I got referred to a Nook dr in June 2019, had a consultation in October 2019 and have been on the waiting list ever since due to covid cancellations
