Hi, I am unsure I can get this advice here but here goes. For many years I have only eaten one meal a day (OMAD). This is not because I was on a diet regime but more the fact I never feel very hungry. I sometimes have to remember to eat. I actually tracked a OMAD I ate last week on two occasions and

Heavy legs and no fuel in the tank . . .
I abandoned my 30 minute run today for the first time. I am a c25k graduate and all been ok to date but this week all three runs have been relentless with today's just being plain miserable so I quit which makes me more miserable . . . Only thing I can think is wrong is my low carb diet along with 5/

Finger on the pulse
Hello, I’m new to the concept of a
LCHF
diet
. My husband is not a great lover of meat so we tend to eat a lot of fish and veggies. How do pulses fit into the program? We have been eating kidney beans, chickpeas, lentils and haricot beans etc but I’m wondering whether we should?

Appetite
Has anyone found that they have lost their appetite, and lost weight, after an Ataxia diagnosis? Has anyone tried a gluten free diet? I live in North London/Enfield, am 70, and wonder if their is anyone locally who has been diagnosed with Ataxia? My diagnosis, some 2 years ago, is idiopathic late onset

Just cooked the keto cauliflower chicken alfredo. And its absolutely beautiful, can say without a doubt it's the best tasting food I had for a long time , first day on LCHF and if they all as tasty as that dish then there is hope . Fingers crossed for the weight loss to follow

Caution
Hi folks just a word of warning, two weeks ago I started on the Keytone diet, very low carb, protein and a balance of fat, but a lot more fat than I would normally eat. All went well untill yesterday. I had a TIA, ie a mini stroke, very scary, I am on beta blockers and warfarin, so the question is ,

What a difference a year makes !
I posted the following in the 'Bridge to 10k' forum a few days ago and it has been suggested that Couch to 5k members might also find it interesting and hopefully supportive to your running journeys: I recently passed the anniversary of my starting c25k. So what's happened during that year? Well Runkeeper

Dr. Michael Eades - 30 years of bad diet (pro LCHF)
Video re the ¿modern? agricultural (Carbohydrate) diet. Some of us have had a bad diet for over 3,000 years... and this is comparing the hunter-gatherer (paleo) diet with the Agricultural (grain and plant carbohydrate) diet, not the modern factory-food synthetic diet, including trans-fats. https://youtu.be

How strict are you on low-carbs?
I’m trying to bring my A1c back to 5.6. My last test in April showed 5.7. It had always been 5.6 since diagnosed with PMR/GCA in January 2019. I Started on 40 mg of pred, now at 10. I had gotten somewhat off track after Christmas. I’ve read that 40- 50 grams of carbs a day is considered low

Endocrinologist test results - please help me! (And ferritin not going up)
Hi everyone, I received some blood test results from my endocrinologist. She had said in my last appointment that if these tests didn't show anything up then it's "just chronic fatigue". I've attached a photo of my results and wondered what you all thought. I know that she hasn't run some tests which

LCHF 4 yrs
LCHF. Well that was pre April 2019. CABGx4. What now ? What does the research say about LCHF and risk of further occlusion or Afib or heart attack after and attack and CABG ? At least one definitive source from the Keto/LCHF world says my questions outpace the science. If you know anything do please

LCHF Advice
I have just been reading more about this diet plan, when I googled it the first site is Diabetes UK. My question is, is this diet aimed more at people with diabetes? I don’t have diabetes so would this diet be suitable for me or would I be better with the 5.2 diet Thanks

Dramatic Recovery In Parkinson’s Patient with Gluten Free Diet
Anyone tried this? Could gluten's toxicity extend to the nervous system, producing symptoms identical to classical Parkinson's disease? A remarkable case study adds to a growing body of research indicating that wheat's neurotoxicity is greatly underestimated. A remarkable case report describing the dramatic

Role of dietary fibre on LCHF Diet
As followers of
