Plateau
Hi. I started LCHF 6 weeks ago. It took a couple of weeks to get to grips with it so I’d say for 4 weeks I’ve stayed within 20g daily net carbs. I lost 6 lb initially but for last 12 days have been hovering between 6-7lb loss but not seeing any more movement. Should I be doing something different now

ICD Confusion
My husband had a STEMI in August 2018. Unfortunately, he delayed treatment for 8 hours, thinking he was suffering from food stuck in his throat. He had a stent fitted. His first echocardiogram 4 days later revealed an EF of 39% and damage to the left ventricle wall. After a week stay in hospital where

Extreme lethargy/fatigue on low carb?
Does this happen? I've been doing LCHF for about 3 weeks now. I did have a little blip about 2 weeks in (loads of lentils and rice) but I got back on track. The last few days/week or so I have been feeling extremely lethargic and fatigued, I can hardly lift my arms or legs. It feels like walking through

Big Life Update
Hello again all, I have returned after a extended break from posting on here. The past 7 months have been full of ups and downs. The last one I talked about here was my long term boyfriend and I had broken up and I was very upset and spoke about just wanting to have fun. And well, I did exactly that.

Runniversary - what a difference a year makes!
Yesterday was the anniversary of my starting c25k. So what's happened during that year? Well Runkeeper tells me that I've completed 151 runs, totalling 1290 km. I graduated c25k on 25 July and after consolidation, started to work towards 10k, which I achieved in October. I've done 31 parkruns and volunteered

Low carb diet
Heading off next week (yes I know I have only been back from New Zealand three weeks) for a trip to the Bavarian Alps on the Harley with a mate of mine. Thought I would strip off a few of the New Zealand lbs and make space for a few bratwurst and small beers. So I have been doing low carb for the past

Low-carb diet and AF
There was a recent posting about research that indicated an increased risk of AF with low-carb diets. The research apparently had some flaws that several posters noted. Here's an anecdote about my own experience... I have basically been on draconian low-carb for 10 years or so. That is the same time

Soy yogurt
Hi. Over the last three weeks, I've started eating lots of Asda Soy and coconut yogurt. (9 per cent soy). It tastes delicious and has no carbs, unlike dairy. It's a great low carb addition to my diet. I am hypo, taking levo, and feeling very well. Will eating lots of this yogurt affect me??

Update17.04.2019 So, currently I’m somewhere between Keto

and Full Carnivore with Intermittent Fasting. Delighted to say that my diarrhoea gradually cleared up and was possibly caused by a bug rather than carnivory.

Ovary removal and more....
Morning everyone Just after advice. Just over 3 weeks ago I had a lap to remove both ovarie and tubes. They also removed nodules from belly button and pouch of douglas and separated organs that were attached because of endo. I was told by nurse that as it was a lap it would only take 2 weeks to get

Hi I was also diagnosed with ibs. I was having excessive gas, bloating, nausea, and burping. My gastrointerologist did a colonoscopy and endoscopy in one day. The only thing he found was is several polyps in my abdomen. Which he lanced but we’re benign. I was also diagnosed with acid reflux. I was taking

Hashi's and T3 - can a gluten-free diet help when on T3?
I have Hashi's. I've been on Levo for about 9 years but about 3 years ago my symptoms flared up (before then I was subclinical with no symptoms). Endos have not helped, so my aim was to try to get T3 added to my Levo. But before going down that route, I decided to try going gluten-free. So I have
