Frustrated!!!!
Time for a wee rant! I know in the whole scheme of things this is really minor, and I know I should be grateful (and I truly am!) that I feel well and I’m able to lead a normal life..... but .... why can’t I lose bloody weight???? I’m currently on a low carb diet, I walk between 4to 5 miles a day with

Hello, I'm new.
Hi Everyone, I'm recently diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer of the bone. My first go round was 2013 -I had a right mastectomy (18-21 nodes removed) and T + C chemo. Stacked DIEP flap reconstruction. I couldn't tolerate hormonal therapy then so I just did chemo. Bone mets appeared last April-big

WHAT WAS I THINKING?
Just looked at my last post where I let my Doctor talk me into having a Prolia injection. I am now due for the 2nd one and that will not be happening. Because of shifting, packing and being tired and half dead I didn’t research my options. After shifting the tiredness was unbearable, it’s only now that

Losing weight while on Pred
I have read alot of posts on this site about cutting carbs, sweets, alcohol etc. To help maintain or lose weight while taking Pred. Here is my dilema and I am just about at my wits end! I am currently on 7.5 mg of Pred. Diagnosed with PMR in September 2017, suspect I have had it since March 2017.

W7R3 ya beauty!.
I actually think I’m starting to enjoy this (what I call couch to midlife crisis) malarkey!. That run was great. No wheeze no puking in the bushes and definitely no trumping near the children’s play area......... least said about that one the better. Hitting the 5k mark now pretty much every time

Anyone here got type 1 diabetes?.
Having a few issues with controlling my blood sugar levels now. Ran my WK7R2 today and like the last 25 min run at the end of week 6. When I left to do my run I was 7.5 which I’ve been at most of the day. On a low carb diet so not using much insulin. Did my 25 min run then had a shower. Tested my levels

Feeling like a failure to reach goals
I feel like I have been trying to quit smoking for years. I just turned 30, I have tried the patch the lozenges, gum, laser accupincture, cold turkey and somehow I always go back. I also have horrible health anxiety so go figure makes no sense that I smoke. I guess it’s also like a compulsion from my

A New Positive Discovery In GLUTEN FREE Food
Hi Folks! Is anyone trying to follow a gluten free diet for Hashi's and struggling with the taste of a lot of GF food on the market, especially breads and baked goods? I certainly do, Boy! Do I miss my artisan breads, croissants etc. Well, I have just bought some part baked crusty bread rolls which contains

Exercise
I’m now nearly 4 months into my diagnosis of Dilated Cardiomyopathy and feel I should start some exercise as my meds seem to be making it difficult to lose weight, I’ve gained 8lb since diagnosis, I have a fairly active job where I walk about 4 miles a day (you’d think that would be enough!) and I’m

Low carb diet n’Pbc
Today, my doc informed me that a low carb diet was best to bring down my cholesterol. That makes no sense especiallly with a Pbc possibility. Those with Pbc do u have lowfat diets or low carb. It seems like low carb is more lipid rich n bad for liver

I'm on a low sodium diet but I must get protein etc to maintain my weight. I've lost 7 stone over the years. I see there seafood is recommended as a source of protein and as I love shell fish I thought I'd try moules marinere at a local cafe here in Plymouth. Oh boy did I suffer last night, appalling
