Air fryer?
Is anyone using an air fryer on a
LCHF
diet
? Any suggestions to add? For the record, I was convinced this was a good model by ATK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwKAjdqCd4Q and their recommended model is currently £59 at argos, which considering VAT is 20% is a huge bargain!

Low Carb, High Fat - Well That Didn't Work Did It!
One thing being very much pushed is a low carb, high fat (
LCHF
)
diet
. Claims include that it achieves better diabetic ciontrol and despite being high in saturated fats colesterol is unaffected. I have always been rather dubious about the claims with some of the research looking questionable.

weight loss question please
I would welcome some advice. Been on prednisone since February 2023, also on tocilizumab injections. Currently taking 7mg prednisone. I am trying to lose some of my weight gain. I tried 1500 calories a day and lost nothing. Now doing low carb but weight not moving. My daughter gets married in August

New results…
Hi everyone, just a bit of background info: These are my NHS test results from Nov 2023: t4 13.8 (7-17) tsh 0.10 (0.20 - 4.50) although the TSH came back slightly under range at that time, thankfully the GP said “no action” so I have carried on with 75mcg (have been having my usual brands - no

gallbladder removal
Hello, I had my gallbladder removed a week ago today (keyhole). Recovery from surgery has been an absolute breeze, other than I slept for 4 days solid; despite telling pre op nurse, anaesthetist, recovery and ward nurse that I have PA and B12 deficiency and reacted very badly to an anaesthetic 10 years

Going gluten free - how long until antibodies reduce?
Hello, I was been taking 100 levothryoxine for Hashimoto’s for approx 10 years and I test my antibodies with medicheck every year or so (levels are roughly 590, normal range is 0-34) Due to infertility, I was advised by a nutritionist try a gluten free diet to reduce inflammation, and hopefully reduce

Just been diagnosed with PMR 3 weeks after having Gall Bladder removed??
I’ve just been diagnosed with PMR after 3 weeks of severe pain in shoulders, arm, wrists, hips & thighs. Taking 15mg of Prednisolone & will be starting Cali-D & Alendronic in a few days. My question is and no doctor has told me yes or no is this anyway connected to my bout of gallstones and acute pancreatitis

The things pred does to blood sugar & weight – oh joy…
Apologies in advance to those who may have read a variation on this as a reply to a thread started by Shires123. When I was diagnosed with PMR nearly 4 years ago, I was also about 20kg overweight and I went on a 20gm carbs "keto" diet (based on information on the dietdoctor website recommended by others

T3 Trial continued
Medichecks 20 March 2024 History:
Hypothyroid (after RAI in c2004)
Spent 2023 improving folate, B12, Vit D although ferritin still poor. Came off PPIs and now take Gaviscon twice daily. Gastritis issues ongoing though. Officially a poor converter (dud DIO2) so really wanted to try T3 Gluten
