Low carb ideas please? 🤞
Good morning all. In an effort to try and lose weight I am going to try reducing my carb intake. But I am really stuck for ideas on what to eat instead of bread and potatoes!!! My go to is always a sandwich at lunch and I want to change this habit. Any suggestions would be fab! Thanks!

Scared everyday in case it returns....
Hi there, I was diagnosed with pAF a few months ago after doing a very low carb diet and drinking too much Pepsi Max. I had a single attack (first time ever). I was put on 2.5 mg of Bisprolol. My heart scan came back as a “very good” structure and function. I have occasional ectopics at certain times

Pain on Orgasm
Hi all, i'm a total newbie to this group and am looking for some advice. I have been on the mini pill for a year to help with endo growth on my bowel that was causing me to pass out on bowel movement on my period. The good thing that this seems to have almost disappeared thanks to the pill and a gluten

LCHF: what to expect
There's no magic to
LCHF
- it's just a healthy
diet
. When you eat healthy food, your body will discard bodyfat that it has accumulated "by mistake". But there's no way to predict how fast that will happen for any given individual.

Low carb diets...???
I really need to find out more about this. A couple of days ago, I got my lab results back and they are clearly indicative of insulin resistance: fasting glucose 110 mg/dL (ref 70-105) and fasting insulin 18 uU/mL (ref 2.6-24.9; should be <5 according to several low carb forums I've visited). Anyway,

Gallbladder and Caffiene
I have an inflamed Gallbladder, I have been advised to go on a low fat diet. When I have coffee, my stomach is not happy, does Caffiene affect the Gallbladder in any way.

Cru8 Vegan Keto grain free bread launched. 🥖
Hi everyone, This is in the news today as Cru8 have launched a new Keto plant based low carb grain free bread, so it looks interesting the ingredients listed are gluten free but I'd want to all of them. I think that there is a market for bread like this so here's a link: https://bakeryinfo.co.uk/news

Labs back, would appreciate feedback!
So, I have had some labs back. I have been on Berberine 1500 mg daily (500x3) since 2015. Back then, it helped me lose 28 kilograms and have a normal BMI for the first time in years. I have since put it all back (the weight gain started after I was put on high doses of prednisolone last year - I took

Thyroid and other labs
I have been feeling hyperthyroid lately so have been decreasing Thyroid-S over several months, from 5 to 3 grains, without much symptom relief I might add. My latest labs from Sept 09 read as follows: TSH <0.01 mUI/L (0.35-4.5) free T4 ng/dL 0.7 (0.7-1.5) free T3 pg/mL 2.7 (1.6-3.2) I usually take Thyroid-S

AFib
There are a lot of thoughts over on the Afib forum that low-carb exacerbates Afib. As a proponent of both, any thoughts please. Di

Comfort in food
Here's an interesting observation. I was doing low carb and noticed my back pain and knee pain went away. I also felt more alert and focused. Fell off the wagon for a couple of weeks and the girdle back pain returned, plus pulsating pain in my back andmy knee pain returned quickly. I did notice this

Dietary advice needed
Although I haven’t been officially diagnosed with any issues yet ( my appointment with Cardiologist isn’t until Nov) I’ve been looking at ways to eat healthier for the heart. I figured I can’t lose even if I get the all clear. I currently tend to follow LCHF (not to the letter though) as I find carbs

The LFHC Diet
John McDougall suffered s stroke at 18 and is still around in his seventies so it must be a good
diet
! Actually I think it is as flawed as the

one! If you Google there are numerous videos and articles by him.

Pre-diabetic - is this linked to thyroid issues?
I’m under active but on Levo with ok levels, but my fasting blood sugar levels are into the pre-diabetic range. Only just, but still from everything I have read urgent action is required even if you are close to the pre-diabetic range. Could this be thyroid related? I’m 35, BMI of 20, don’t smoke,

The journey on the other side of PMR/pred?
Hello all. I'm 54 and celebrating 4 years of PMR/Pred., Currently I'm taking, on alternate days, 1/2mg & 1/4mg of pred., (I got here using the ultra slow method and my CRT/ESR levels have ben stable throughout). My first query is when I drop to 1/4mg do you reckon I just reduce 1/4 to 0mg or should
