Every move counts.
I lead active life, had an online instructor who worked with me, tailored to my level of
fitness
and joint restriction. It was helpful over the years and built my stamina, improved the flexibility of my knees. This is my 3rd week here.

Fitness/Smart watches for monitoring sleep and thyroid symptoms?
Does anyone use a
fitness
watch or smart watch for monitoring sleep and thyroid symptoms? I'm thinking of getting one (maybe the Huawei band 8?) and wondering what measures I should be looking for and which are the most useful.

I am logging my food on (my
fitness
pal), can't do much exercise right now because I am not released from shoulder surgeon. I have been on this diet since 2019 & seems hard to get back into it like I was. At the start of this I weighed 328, lossed about 75lbs. then the covid period hit.

Week 3 done...finally.
I have improved my
fitness
level in the last seven months, so when I brushed off the app and decided to pick up from where I left off I wasn't sure how I would fare. It was brilliant! I finished week three in less than four days and feel great.

I’m still here
So basically I’m not where I want to be
fitness
wise but as my valve is ok it’s making me more determined. i just wanted to say to anyone out there who is worried about the surgery, I have COPD and very very much overweight, but they did it. What they can do today is amazing.

breathless are my lungs damaged?🤔
After 2 OPH operations and a cardiac arrest, with everyone’s help and advice I returned to work and I have managed to get my
fitness
back to a reasonable level after pushing to get my blood pressure and beta blockers reduced😊👍. I could barely walk at first!

Hello!
I can't say I enjoy my runs, but I do them for
fitness
' sake - mind, I have to admit that once I'm out there I do quite like it, it's the getting out that's hard isn't it. And I love the feeling afterwards!!! So basically, I'm after advice.

National Bill to End Parkinson's
Fitness
fanatic, which has kept this damn disease at bay......for the most part. Just wondering what everyone thinks of this new Bill to End Parkinson's Act. Should we be excited, worried, indifferent? Is it gonna just be all talk and red tape or are they really gonna make an effort to fight it?

Just diagnosed with ischaemic heart disease
Would be really grateful for any advice for weight loss/
fitness
/emotional support. My husband has stage 4 prostate cancer, which we've only just got our heads around. It seems like everything's falling apart at the same time.

Arm Cast
I have a fracture clinic appointment on Wednesday this week, so my two short questions are : 1) - I am terrified of losing all my
fitness
by not running (or swimming) ?? 2) - Can I run with an arm cast on ??

Exercise for aging people: where to begin, and how to minimize risk while maximizing potential, by Peter Attia M.D.
It is emphasised, though, that at the individual level a steep decline is likely to be the result of one or more medical setbacks following which the individual never really regains their former
fitness
. Aerobic and strength exercises reduce the likelihood of such setbacks.

Taking Flecainide 50g twice a day with Apixaban 5mg Twice a day and Soltalol 40mg twice a day
I am 52 years old and had good
fitness
until the DVT struck. I had been drinking red wine around 3 small glasses a night whilst on the monitor. My plans to to get rid of alcohol are in place. I am scared to take the Flecainide without asking some questions first.

What is a realistic fitness goal?
What is a reasonable, sustainable long-term
fitness
goal given this background? I can share more details about where I am now if asked. Thank you.
