It looks as if there will be no more entries so here are the answers. Thank you all those who had a go. Pop in a reply if you fancy a Bank Holiday Quiz.

1. Which are the two largest organs in the body?

A. Skin and liver

2. Which is the longest bone in the body?

A. Femur

3. Which is the smallest bone in the body?

A Stapes (or Stirrup) bone in the middle ear. Obviously you have two.

4. What is the usual range of respiration ?

A. Depends on fitness and other factors. I will accept anywhere from 15 to 20.

5. What is the most common element within the body?

A, Oxygen

6. Which is the largest artery in the body?

A. Aorta

7. Which is the largest vein in the body?

A. Inferior Vena Cava.

8. Is the right or the left kidney the lowest?

A. Right

9. Which lung is larger?

A. Right as heart on left.

10. How many joints are there in the human body?

A. 230. However I have seen figures up to 350 so if you said between 200 and 350 you get a point. I am sure my count has dropped in the last decade! 🤣

wow! I believe that I actually scored lower than I had thought possible. lol 😂

I did not realize that the liver was one of the largest organs in the human body. I am still struggling with that answer. Plus, I was way off on the number of joints in the human body. Apparently, I really need to “bone up” on anatomy before going online to take the Jeopardy quiz. ❤️

Thank you, Michael, for a lovely quiz!

Joints is a tricky one as there is no agreement. It also changes over time - for instance there are joints in a baby's skull that fuse in the early years and if the bones in the inner ear form a joint?!

pedant alert!😉

the answer to #5 depends on what yo mean by "common" - do you mean by mass or number of atoms?

there are more hydrogen atoms in the average body but oxygen atoms make up the greater mass

Interesting! I have an extra element - Titanium for the plate and screws used to repair my left femur!

Thank you @MichaelJH! Implementing to enter but never quite got around to it. Checking I got 7.5/10 as I kept changing my mind about Q8!
