Slow heart rate.
I am a 49 y.o female, non smoker, average weight &
fitness
. About this time last week I felt very aware of my heart beats, more pronounced I suppose, also felt like I was having to take in deeper breaths, didn't feel ill and have had no pain.

longer runs?
I’m happy enough to get out but wondered if I should build up my distance to gain better
fitness
? At 62 I have no desire to build to 10k or compete but feel delighted I can run..

I just hope my
fitness
improves to help me meet what I just saw is ahead in the programme! Yes, silly move, I'll trust the programme and focus on this week and repeat if I'm not ready to move on.

Heart rate training attempt two - using polar watch properly!
Overall my times are definately slower but I'm coming back feeling great and not beetroot red and sweaty and it still says I'm gaining
fitness
. For the first time my watch is happy with my training and says it's productive instead of over reaching or under productive as I was used to seeing.

Short Version: I’ve got a small head, I bought a head-torch, sent it back, did some running.
Apart from the head, I’ve got long arms, little legs, one foot bigger than the other and a torso wedged somewhere between medium and large (depending on where I am in that
fitness
/ slobbery waltz that endlessly swirls, turns, and often face-plants smack-bang in the middle of the dancefloor).

S&F Catch-Up: Let us know about what you’ve been up to in February
Just a quick catch-up post asking what kind of workouts or
fitness
plans people are involved in? Have you managed to keep up the momentum from January? Have you explored some new workouts? Or have you kept going with something you started in January, like YWA yoga monthly’s calendars?

Starting after a break of 4 weeks.
I know I have lost
fitness
over the few weeks off, My question is does anyone have any idea how much? In my head I feel as though I could run for 5 minuntes at a time, so want to try at week 5 again, or do you think that might be too much after a month off?

How to Keep your Hands Warm with Chemical Heat Packs
The cycling seemed to do nothing much for aerobic
fitness
which was a disappointment, but it I think lowered my Reynaud's breakpoint down from 10deg down to 8deg when on foot. Most of the time then I can now avoid heatpacks in the shoes when walking.

🏃♀️🏅👩🎓 Graduates’ Club….the Next Steps July week 4 👩🎓🏅🏃♀️
One of the nicest things about establishing a good base level of running
fitness
(as you’ve done by completing Couch to 5k!) is that it opens up a bigger variety of routes to you. It’s a real treat to try them out. Don’t forget to post a picture!

Been lurking on here for a week... now it's time to talk about my drinking!
I am 41 and a
fitness
fanatic... who drinks too much! How does that work, eh? I walk, run, swim, cycle and lift weights. Then after that I drink about 10 units a night, 4-5 nights a week. Have done for about 10 years now. Why? Just habit I guess!

Covid Pneumonia - Recovery!
Fitness
is crucial. I hope what I have posted here helps others who suffer any form of post viral fatigue after pneumonia. Very few doctors will prepare you for just how long recovery takes. I still remember one doctor telling me i'd be back on my feet in 3-4 months How wrong he was!

Finally back outside!
What is very apparent is that my
fitness
level has dropped significantly, this was not really a surprise. It felt fine while out, although my breathing was not as easy as I would have liked ! But after I got back home I felt absolutely drained and aching .

week 6 and feeling fed up.
This brisk walking has obviously increased by
fitness
and I wanted to go further. Im on week 6 now and doing ok but my pace is the same. Im probably walking a tiny bit slower (as I recover from running) but my actual running is still so slow. I know pace will come but I’m so impatient.

A DNA test, a book and a diet - my AFib Eureka moment !
I think there are a few companies doing it, not sure if I’m allowed to advertise the one I used but it was excellent and gave 40 DNA profiled reports across diet, sleep, exercise,
fitness
, stress etc.
