first run of 2023!
I was aware that after this long my ‘
fitness
’ would have dropped right off so I went back to C25K week three. Next run pencilled in for Thursday, onwards…….😁

Back to c25k
Like a lot of people, it seems, I picked up a bug over Christmas & now struggling to get back to
fitness
. I dropped out of my first Parkrun after Christmas having difficulty getting my breath, so postponed another till a couple of weeks ago.

Great Bristol 10k/HU10k Race Report ❤️
😮 I’m so close to being back to full
fitness
, after a long 7 week layoff, and it feels fabulous. 🙏🏻 Banging HU10k playlist to listen to too! Mine came on trudging up a hill which gave me a boost. 😀 HM next weekend so I’ll listen to it, plus more, then! 🙏🏻

Gadget recos?
As much as I've been trying to talk myself out of wanting a sports watch or
fitness
tracker, I keep going back to wanting one... I currently use the NRC app on my iPhone together with the iHealth app (or whatever its called) - and they don't work for heart rate training, for example.

S&F Catch-Up Aug’23: how is everyone doing?
It does take some time to get back to pre-Covid
fitness
levels. And Curlygurly2 , I know you had some injury niggles, but I wondered if you finished the push-up challenge yet? Is anyone still doing the daily YWA calendar Yoga practice?

I'm the same person expending a similar amount of effort but my pace was more affected by the terrain and what I was seeing than my
fitness
, level of training or anything else that might be responsible.

8 months on pred - Update from recent bloods
My mental health and overall physical
fitness
has suffered because of it. I was always so slim and active and now I feel like a pudding.

Week 6, Run 2
I am a 18 stone, 5ft 10 bloke who has never run before, and am doing this for weight loss and general
fitness
. Seems to be working for me so far, but this morning I really struggled with the second 10 minute run. I finished it, but felt like I might be sick as I ran. Any tips?

Inspirational old post on exercise
I went to special Parkinson's classes at a great

HU10K started in Vancouver but ended up at home?
Thank you 😊 (Ps Mr Garmin took 1 point off my VO2 max but has left my
fitness
age slightly below the age of my eldest child so I will forgive him this time !)

My first year of running
The realisation that we're mortgaged until I'm 69 and the desire to carry some modicum of health and
fitness
into my eventual retirement was the main impetus behind this objective.

Just joined a gym today
I want to build up my
fitness
level so I can gage whether my heart has detirated or I'm just unfit and next time I have a stress test then I will be able to see what my actual exercise level is 😅.

Driving assessments, car adaptations and time
I'm 46 so in no mood to lose my ability to drive, but in order to prove my
fitness
, I had to jump through a lot of hoops and it took almost a year to get where I am now, including almost 7 months unable to drive. There are times where it feels like the DVLA would rather you weren't driving.

A recommendation for a short weights/strength routine
Of course all of that has fallen by the wayside, the only things I have maintained are a Dr Jade Peta (US
fitness
guru with specific workouts for women) 15 minute HIT routines ( I manage about 1 a month) and 2 hours Iyenga Yoga (intermediate) which is doing wonders for my strength ( I do this every week
