yay!!! Well, you HAVE!!! You have made it and I am very proud of you!!!! And now, I am going to put a graduate badge next to your name so that you have proof that you did it!!! Congratulations 🥳 🏃♀️
After W9 R2 on Tuesday, I had a training session at athletics club in the evening, one full on day, followed by a dificult day Wednesday, on my feet nonstop for way too long, had to remove leg in the afternoon and rest Stu because of pain, I was still limping at bedtime, so things did not bode well for run 3 today. Now Stu can be a funny old sod, Woke up and pain gone but Socket fit left a lot to be desired, So after a slow start to the day I got SWMBO to drive me to the next town and drop me near to the canal. After the 5 mins walking Stu seemed to fit better, so off I trot, and only smash it. Pb for 2 mile😁 can I have my Gong please.
yay!!! Well done you!! All your hard work (I hope you found some cooler times to run??!!) has paid off and here you are on the podium…your badge is securely in place 🥇
Regraduated today…. First was 2nd half of 21, built it up then to 10k runs in 60 minutes, but stopped for several months in 22 due to other sport priorities. Picked it up after summer 22, but must have done to much too quic as I got ankle and achilles injuries on both sides…
So, down to zero, then just walking and 8 weeks ago started again with Laura and here we are! Amazing program, thank you so much!
woo hoo!! We are so glad you started again…and you are so full of determination!! Have a look at the new graduates post, you can share your stories and find useful tips there…
Thanks! Also for the link, I had just started reading that.I'm just so excited to keep going! I guess it is partly because of the big improvements you see when you start out at something new
Only a year and a bit after I got covid the day I was due to run Week 9 run 3. I had to re-start twice thanks to illness. Third time really is the charm!
Sadly, today's run was super challenging, after an 'easy' run 2 last week.
Now it is time to work on consolidation runs for the foreseeable future. My goal is not to run any faster or longer... Just to keep cardio as part of my routine 3 times a week, until it becomes as easy as a gentle yoga class. haha, I wish!
Completed 10 park runs at pb of 37 and have tried to run 3 times a week since graduation
My nrc activity shows a 8 km run at over 60 mins last year and I have just completed the nrc one hour run but very slow as covered about 6 km this time which was a bit disappointing
Inclined to continue with a variation of runs but wonder whether if it’s beneficial to set a goal to increase distance /speed
The thought of my running continuously for an hour at the start of my journey was unthinkable so suppose I should be chuffed
Btw .. Am I now eligible for a badge for my 60 min crawl
The mutual support on the website is really fabulous
hi there SillyGilly9 …congratulations on all your achievements…you are doing amazingly well! 60 mins is yonks! And slow is always the best way….if you follow the link I am sure that MissUnderstanding will gladly pin your 60 min badge on for you x
I did it, I really did itttttt! Finished my final run yesterday and posted a long zzzz blurb! I would love my badge😊 a little bit chuffed with myself!!!
Hello, could I have my badge please? I've completed at last, even though it seemed impossible when I first started. I'm feeling very proud with the sense of achievement!!
Woo hooooo!!! Very well done…yes, it feels like those 30 minute runs are out of reach but with hard work and perseverance before you know it you’re having your badge pinned on and we’re all cheering…congratulations 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️ 👏
Morning! I’m glad I spotted you here on the old thread. Congratulations on your graduation and I’ve awarded you your badge.
If you take a look at the latest graduates’ club thread, there’s some information about consolidation there and it’s a great place to ask questions and share how you’re doing.
