Not just your running stats, not just your
fitness
and body shape, but your brain too.
Oh, and you know what else she tells us is good for our brains? Community! So keep chatting; keep saying hello to the runners you pass, keep telling people how fabulous running and C25K and HU are.

Weekly Chat August 12 to 18: The Sun Sets on Paris 2024
All those weeks of building up
fitness
and pace suddenly in peril! Fortunately I managed a couple of careful walks on Saturday and I chanced a 6k run on Saturday evening. All done, without ill effects. Lesson learned; I think that we are agreed that gardening can be lethal for runners.

November Yoga / Pilates Mat
It feels like I barely managed to get all my S&F routines in, but this month I move firmly inside for my
fitness
activities, and my cozy workout corner beckons with its mat, dumbbels, bands and yoga blocks. So how is your S&F going? Let us know!

Knowing when I am ready to drive again post-op
What I wish to know about is
fitness
levels. What I can find so far is being happy with emergency stops, so I can probably trace that to how my sternum feels as I progress.

here we go again😬
After all this time of a few walks and about 12 Pilates sessions I must obviously had a baseline
fitness
level higher than I thought. 😁 so hopefully I’m back and looking forward to some better weather and many more runs

*** BRAG ALERT*** W1 R3 ... 100% DONE! ...Get In!!!!
Did my
fitness
really improve that fast??? Do I run faster on hot muggy days??? Was it my new 89% cotton leggings??? Did I not want to look silly in front of youngest and ferret??? The penny suddenly dropped that my 'brisk walk' was toooo brisk aka brisk power walk. It was faster than my Run.

Well, that's another one ticked off - Week 6, Run 2
The runs aren't anything like as hard this time, so I've clearly maintained much of the residual
fitness
.

L-carnitine
I’ve just brought some to help with
fitness
and more energy. I take 100mg levothyroxine for Hypothyroidism and didn’t know if L-carnitine will interact with the levothyroxine? Any advice is much appreciated.

Week 7 Run 1 - Imposter Syndrome strikes
I took a three day break from running due to London trip, but clearly my step count meant my
fitness
continued to improve. So I did the 25 minute run one yesterday with no issues ... except in my head.

July Walking Challenge: Walk in the morning
It can improve your sleep, boost your mood, increase your
fitness
, and cut the risk of heart disease and diabetes. Ideally, those morning walks should be within 2 hours of waking.

Questions about AFIB
I love my cycling and until this year would be doing anything from 6,000 to 9,000 miles per year which has been great for keeping my aerobic
fitness
and weight in check.

The plan should be open to everyone, no matter the
fitness
level. There free, even if one only uses the free version of the Runkeeper app.

Ear Problems??
Also building
fitness
by getting the steps in daily. Thank you Fitbit.... Still incredibly tired so sleep a lot and the weird numbness/pins and needles in my lower extremities is very irritating. Lots of itching too but that comes and goes. Latest 'symptom' (related??)

PAF - move to PiP only
The criteria was, still remaining episode free and maintaining high
fitness
, both of which I have achieved to date. I must admit, I am kind of happy with the status-quo; I lead my life with no limitations.

My physical
fitness
includes 200 - 300 minutes of high intensity work outs. I feel out standing. Get a little rib pain where the two most active lesions are located. I am posting this because of an interesting statement Dr. Sen made to me.

Just starting on this journey…..
From being a very fit 69yr old attending several high intensity
fitness
classes a week, I have gone to someone who struggles to walk the dog (although I am making myself do it on most days). I find it hard that only fellow sufferers understand how you feel.

I have been told that right now the risk outweighs the benefit and I should go and enjoy my life and maintain my
fitness
levels . I am 54 years old and have always been fairly fit and healthy, although not as strong as I used to be.
