November Yoga / Pilates Mat

It's already November and not sure how the last month came and went so quick.

It feels like I barely managed to get all my S&F routines in, but this month I move firmly inside for my fitness activities, and my cozy workout corner beckons with its mat, dumbbels, bands and yoga blocks.

So how is your S&F going? Let us know! And feel free to join in on our virtual collective mat.

If you are just joining us, big WELCOME to you and any new Virtual Workout Buddies! A short daily practice of Yoga or Mat Pilates is perfect to get some S&F into your day. But if you are looking for something else, here is a nice welcome post to invite you to the many S&F opportunities here on the forum: healthunlocked.com/strength...

And feel free to - as Adriene says - “find what feels good”, meaning if your knees feel too sensitive, amend that Child’s Pose. And if you find full planks are the stuff of nightmares, rather do half planks than full ones. Do whatever feels right to get the maximum enjoyment from these daily sessions. And definitely get creative with props.

Upwards, crow-wards and down dog-wards another months practice!

Can't run again at the moment, but I did manage ten minutes of gentle stretching this morning. I hope I will be able to get back to normal in aa week or so.

It’s an up and down, isn’t it. But strangely that’s also quite a new to me and not too a negative experience. Before I regularly ran, life went quite steady, I feel. With running, there is always something, always ups and downs, always sone achievement in the recent past and an exciting plan for the future.

All part of being a runner, I think.

This sounds awesome! Since I am doing 2-3 Pilates classes per week at the local studio, I won't add any more but I am sure this'll be fun. (For those familiar with the Pilates system, the classes are Mat & Tower, Reformer, and Wunda Chair...). I am also starting to take advantage of the weights in the studio, so I'll be adding a couple of weight sessions to each week. At least that's my plan... we'll see what plans life has...

That sounds great!!! Yes, my dumbbels are also always at the ready (except when hubby steals them to his workout corner! Grrrrrr)

I am on board for Yoga,. with tweaks maybe... I shall have to play catch up as I was travelling today!
