Morning all, continued thanks to all your support and advice.
7th month of decompensation but hopefully on the track to a better place by 2024.
Maintaining 70kg weight after loosing @30kg in the first 3 months. Maintaining a high protein diet and high calorie intake as per advice from this forum and the NHS diet sheets. Low salt and no alcohol. Also building fitness by getting the steps in daily. Thank you Fitbit....
Still incredibly tired so sleep a lot and the weird numbness/pins and needles in my lower extremities is very irritating. Lots of itching too but that comes and goes.
Latest 'symptom' (related??) is fluid build up behind the eardrums leading earache and some deafness. Doctors have prescribed a spray followed by antibiotics if required.
Is this something others have come across in their journey?
Hi, my husband has decompensated liver desease, admitted to hospital january23,had 6lt fluid removed and has lost about 6 stones sine then, but h es also complaining about painful feet, pins and needles then numbness, got to get is bloods tested, they say it could be lack of vitamin b, they took them of him last year🙃 doctor asked why? But he's not complained of fluid build up near ears x
It’s really interesting that you say this because my hearing has become somewhat difficult of late. I’m going to get it looked at. Thank you for bringing this subject up.
Thank you for your feedback. 👍 The spray is not working as yet. Expecting to go on antibiotics on Monday. Keep us up to date with your progress. Good luck. ☀️
Hi, thank you for getting back to me. I will definitely let you know. I was out with some friends on Tuesday and it became really apparent I had an issue. I hope you will soon be on the mend and I really appreciate your post.
Don’t really know if this is a Liver Disease problem. Will be interesting to see what your doctor says. Ours was kinda non-commital. Specialist might know more. ☀️
