Treating Itp with Herbal Supplements
Hi! I'm a newbie here! I came aboard to find a natural way to treat Itp. Since Prednisone isn't cutting it. Dexamethasone and Eltrombopag also didn't take. The Doctor's want to try rituximab next and I'm a little bit leary of that one. Then of course, if that doesn't work, they'll want to take my spleen

A small study has recently suggested that Deep Brain Stimulation eases Parkinson’s symptoms by directly raising dopamine levels
“Even if dopamine-producing cells are not activated directly, electrically stimulating other parts of the brain, particularly those that receive information from dopamine-producing cells, can indirectly increase dopamine production ...” https://parkinsonsnewstoday.com/2019/08/23/deep-brain-stimulation-directly-raises-dopamine-levels-study-suggests

How I reduced my Parkinson’s meds by 50% and beat my addiction to dopamine
Fifteen years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Within a year I was taking the standard medication associated with the disease, dopamine in its various forms (levodopa/carbadopa, aka. Sinemet). Like most sufferers of PD, my need for Sinemet, grew and grew until I was taking 200 mg every

Abject fatigue
I am curious if anyone has a cheery solution for abject fatigue. I’m finding it to be a potential terminal issue. I don’t see a way out. The more I try to exercise the worse it gets. I’m currently on Rytary, klonazapam-dose hasn’t changed in 4 years- and levothyroxine. About a year ago started

unable to run since c25k graduation
I did a big push to complete the programme on 10th July with the last 6 runs in 12 days, feeling very positive although not easy, and followed up with 28k and 34k walks on 11 and 13 July. After a couple of rest days, I tried to run again but could only do about 15 minutes before feeling muscles are too

I’m new here
Hello, I was diagnosed in 2011, at age 39. I was able to manage my symptoms quite well until about 18 months ago using only an agonist. I started on Sinemet at the beginning of last year, but within 6 months had increased from 3 tablets a day to 9 and started experiencing wear-off in about 2 hours.

Help! FT3 below reference range despite increased dosage during pregnancy
Hi, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis in 2015 and has been taking Levothyroxine ever since. I started a gluten-free diet nearly 2 years ago. Before I found I was pregnant, my dosage was 75mcg/day. And the last blood test before pregnancy was: TSH 0.93 (0.35-5.5 mIU/L) FT4 15.4 (10-20 pmol

Recommended a gluten free diet
Hello fellow IVF warriors 💪 Hope you’re okay. I’m so pleased it’s the weekend! I went to try my first session of acupuncture last night and the therapist looked at other aspects of my life as she likes to treat patients holistically. She recommended I go gluten free as there is some evidence gluten

My very first 10-miler!
Hello lovely running fiends 👹 I just realised that it has been a very very long time since I made a post on this site, so I will try not to ramble on too much! I started my HM training in June, in prep for a September half. It's a local one, so not particularly illustrious, but will be a good start

Muscle retention in PD
I have been riding a relatively good streak since DBS 6 years ago. Recently my right side muscles, bicep and my leg have become severely compromised. My bicep looks like I survived WW2 prison camp! (NO DISRESPECT INTENDED). I am active with yoga and yard work etc. I can't lift my grandchildren..

Gluten and Urticaria (Hives)
Hi I am hypothyroid, not sure if I have hashimotos' the autoimmune type but my antibodies are top of the range. About 18 months ago I saw an Immunologist because I started to suffer with cold urticaria (hives when out in the cold weather) he did lots of blood tests but nothing really showed up. He prescribed
