Hi all, i'm a total newbie to this group and am looking for some advice. I have been on the mini pill for a year to help with endo growth on my bowel that was causing me to pass out on bowel movement on my period. The good thing that this seems to have almost disappeared thanks to the pill and a gluten free diet. Whilst diagnosing the endo they found adenomyosis, probably due to 2 c-sections and endo combined.
However my other problem that's been on going for a year is really getting me down. Without fail, every orgasm I have is painful. Right at the moment of climax when the womb contracts I have this pain that is maybe a 4 out of 10, mild but enough for me no notice and get me down.
Due to this pain my libido which was once pretty good is now non existant and I'm just feeling a bit crap about it all.
I was at my consultant today who has referred me to a 'sexual issues' clinic and I've to see her again in 6 months to discuss next steps...Zoladex injections to put me in a menopausal state or a hysterectomy - two drastic steps.
Does anyone else have this same orgasm symptom? I can't find anyone else talking about it and I would love to know if there is any way I can relieve the pain.

Yes, I have the exact same symptom Not formally diagnosed with Adenomyosis but pretty sure I have it. It also comes with bleeding too, for me, and really sucks. However, I have been taking visanne and it has completely gone (for now, sure it'll come back when I stop taking it).
Sadly it’s not available on the NHS (I get mine from spain) because it’s too expensive but it’s basically high dose progesterone. I’m no doctor but you’d get a similar effect with something like norethisterone. I’m thinking about getting mirena soon though, although not sure what effect it would have. Good luck!
I’ll look into that then. I was on the mirena when my pass out bowel endo flared up, I may end up back on the Mirena but so far the mini pill is helping.
Have you noticed whether it’s pain at certain points in your cycle? I find I only get cramping pain after orgasm in last part of cycle in the week before I bleed. I have been diagnosed with Endo during a laperoscopy but no Andemyosis diagnosed currently.
Hi, the pain is the same through the month. It’s a sharp pain right in my left side, low down at the exact point or orgasm 🙈 it stabs here each time my womb contracts then disappears afterwards. Hope you are managing your endo ok. The mini pill has helped for me so far
Oh that sounds horrible. I’ve not been able to take the pill because it makes my migraines worse, and it doesn’t help my heavy bleeding. I had a lap last year with coil fitting, but that didn’t work (my body expelled the coil twice) so now I’m waiting for endometrial Ablation with another lap too with sterilisation. I’m having to make do with Tranexamic acid and Mefalamic acid in the meantime. I’m peri menopausal so my bleeding is erratic and extreme.
