Do some people choose a gluten free diet even if they are not intollerent or have ceoliac disease and why?
My daughter ordered me a gf pizza from Dominoes and was asked "is the patient (not customer !!) suffering from Ceoliac Disease or just prefers GF?". I didn't realise people chose GF even if they don't need to. Why do they do this is a GF diet healthier?

Pain 4 days after endoscopy, is this normal?

I have a problem! I appear to be allergic to the rice protein, and this limits me more on diet choices, does anyone have any suggestions?
I am as yet an undiagnosed Coeliac, but I have been advised to follow a Gluten free diet by my GP until I have tests next month, but I also appear to be allergic to the protein in rice, so am more limited on my diet, i can't have rice noodles, rice paper, anything containing rice, I am also finding problems

Should I have an endoscopy?
Hi everyone, I'm new to the community and pretty scared and confused about having Coeliac Disease. If you could give any advice that would be great. I had blood tests in November 2012 to check my liver and kidney function, to check my iron levels and to check for thyroid problems and Coeliac Disease

what a helpful website
I hope you don't mind me posting this. I am so pleased to have found this website. Reading this website has made me feel quite lucky compared to others. After a few weeks of symptoms in late autumn last year, following tests which were inconclusive, my GP advised me to avoid gluten in my diet and

Is there a test to see how successful my gluten free diet is?
As I do not suffer any obvious adverse reaction to eating gluten, and it's got me thinking of how do I know if I'm being glutened, or even if I'm being damaged by codex levels. Can my GP tell with just a blood test or do I need to undergo another biopsy .

Can anyone recommend a gluten-free shampoo? What gluten-free beauty brands work for you?
Have decided to take the extra step of removing gluten from the toiletries I use, as it seems logical to me to do so, even if opinion is currently divided on this issue. I am particularly keen to source a gluten-free shampoo and conditioner, as one problem that has yet to respond to my gluten-free diet

Is DBS the miracle they say it is?
I've seen so many videos of people that have had DBS and it doesn't look like the cure-all they claim it to be. Most of the patients look like they've had a stroke or a slowness of reaction in mind and body. Why is there not more information on what can go wrong? OR am I expecting too much? There has

Oh, I'm 'super sensitive' don't you know......gluten free labelling of a different type!
Seeing the current question from Pretender re diagnosing 'super sensitive coeliacs' got me searching for a previous posting that I remember seeing by GFG: http://glutenfreeguerrillas.healthunlocked.com/questions/14288/do-sensitive-coeliacs-exist Now here's my view, I don't believe in various catagories

What positive things has Coeliac Disease taught you? List your top 3.
After a while on a gluten free diet can you reflect and list your top 3 things that you've learnt, discovered, managed, changed as a result the diagnosis? i.e. have you explored foods you wouldn't normally eat? Have you ditched the Free From aisle products for eating naturally gluten free? Have you adopted

Week 9 Run 2 - Christmas Eve
Normally I am up for my run the moment the alarm goes off at 6:00am; no time to think about it if I am going to have a run before work. This morning as I did not need to get up early it was quite tempting to think that I did not need to run at all today as I could 'catch up' later in the week.

Still getting symptons
Hi all am fairly new to this (diagnosed about 4 months) and on a gluten free diet. Am getting bowel problems similar to when I was eating gluten that seem to have started over last two weeks. Am trying to avoid cross contamination although I live with others who are on a normal diet I am really careful

Is this some sort of flare up?
I just don't know. I slept all morning and then tried to do some work this afternoon but couldn't keep my eyes open so gave up and tried to do exercises on Nintendo wii as its just too disgusting to be outside with rain and gale force winds today. Then had a hot bath as I'm so chilled despite the fire
