Antibodies and ultimate destruction of the thyroid
greygoose I have now been gluten free for nearly two years and my sole aim has been to reduce my antibodies (TPO >1300 and thyroglobulin antibodies 394). These have both gone down substantially on each of my last three blood tests. I have seen you say so many times that this is pretty well meaningless

Not sure I should even be posting in this group now ☹️🙄
Well I have not run since October 16th now. First there was the nasty virus and chest infection that would not clear - over 7 weeks!!! And then the niggly hip pain that has been on and off since the summer but has got steadily worse not better. I’d had exercises to do - no better, painkillers-no help

Enzyme Deficiency
Hello all I have not posted in a while. Over the years I've been told that I have IBS, reflux, possible celiac, damage to the vagus nerve, iron deficiency and low folic acid. I've been on a gluten free diet for nearly 4 years now because I did test positive for the allergy and show all the signs of

HELP. SCIATICA HAS GOT ME.
I have COPD and have scoliosis. I have had sciatica originating in my right lower back/buttock right down to the toes since January this year 2019. It is the most painful thing imaginable and I cannot even begin to describe it. All I know is that pain blockers (Pregabalin 00mg. twice a day) and intermittent

transglutaminase IgA levels
I am diagnosed Celiac. In June 2017 my Transglutaminase IgA levels were 1784.2 and are now just over 300 after 2 years plus. To be normal they should be under 20. I follow a strict gluten free diet but with the odd slip up so I wonder why my numbers don’t return to normal levels. Any answers?

Annual Blood Test Results
Hi, I attach my new blood tests. I went gluten free in Feb 2017 which brought my immunology down from very high to under range. For 2 months before this last blood test I ate some gluten in my diet but was surprised to see the immunology did not start to go back up again. Although CRP & Ferritin have

Worried about low carb/high protein diet
Hello all, I have lost a stone since beginning my determined effort to lose weight and get myself out of the ‘obese’ BMI category (I started in October last year). I am now comfortably within the ‘overweight’ category but do not seem to be able to lose any more! I am careful with calories and I do some

Recent Results From Private Testing, What To Do Now
I am hypothyroid and I have been on 125mg for a few months now after being lowered from 150mg, which i was on for years. I've been feeling a bit rubbish overall but it's hard to know what's caused it as work has been massively affecting my mood recently. I had an advance thyroid profile done by Thriva

Possible causes of Ataxia
🙂 This is a ‘long read’ and may be difficult to interpret, but never the less it’s interesting. What processes can cause ataxia? The pathophysiology of cerebellar ataxias is as diverse as the various neurological and systemic diseases affecting the cerebellum. Broadly classifying ataxias into genetic

Has anybody tried Chiropractic care to straighten spine? Husband with DBS, pd falls constantly, severe leaning to right. Interested in knowing if this helped you with posture.

Job.
Hi ladies and gents. I have got a part-time cleaning job at a local school. I have applied for my enhanced DBS even though I already have one. I go to register on Wednesday and will probably start work after Christmas now. I am feeling very well in myself. I have been reading my books on Narcissistic

Does anyone experience chest and back pains?
Sometimes it comes like a sharp sprain that makes it difficult to take
deep
breaths and I kind of
freeze
up until the pain goes away. It is usually just for a few minutes and no more. I am big breasted, (34 H) and suspected it could be related to the size of my breast but I don't think so anymore.

I haven't been diagnosed with any kind if liver disease but I used to be a big drinker in my twenties and I took 4 paracetamol over doses. 3 in my late teens and one accidental one 2 years ago and that is when my symptoms started. Gluten and soy free diet...
So I’m doing the gluten free diet and avoiding soy like the plague. I’ve downloaded the coeliac uk app but I’m confused... so the gluten free section is already ticked but then there is an section for extra gluten options and a section saying may contain cereals... do I need to tick all these extra sections

NY Times Report: 9 PwP Lost Ability to Swim After DBS
This is a blow for those of us looking at DBS further down the road as a possible last-resort therapy, but I guess it will be a matter of weighing up the pros and cons when we have to confront the choice to go ahead or not. Has anyone in this community who’s had DBS encountered the same issue? https
