Pre holiday post
Well, if all goes to plan, tomorrow I'm off to Rome for a cruise on Monday. Still on 18mg Pred for GCA having been on this dose for four weeks so as not to reduce too close to travel. I've got to survive 36 hours without getting an upset gut as I do when going somewhere hot. I know it is a bit negative

Gluten free diet. Has anyone tried it?
Hello! I want to know if anyone has tried this and how is the result? Even though you have or don't have celiac disease.

Really struggling with pain around my ankle. Might be tendinitis. Really sore and couldn't do my run last night. Gutted is an under statement! I'm 5.3 and just under 9 stone. Haven't trained in years and was doing so well! Am so motivated but this has set me back. I've used mustard powder. Ice, deep

Blood results- seeing GP tomorrow at 9am. Would love any advice!
Hi Please see my latest blood test results. I'd appreciate any comments before I see my GP tomorrow morning. I'm currently on 75mcg of T4 and am hoping for an increase. I'm delighted my thyroglobin antibodies have come down from 724 to 543 after 4 months on a gluten free diet for Hashimoto's. I seem

Non-invasive ultrasound holds new promise for those with Essential Tremor
My good friend Ron Budra, who thankfully doesn't suffer from this disorder, nevertheless watches over me. He sends this from the Naples News: July 20, 2017 Naples News.. Karl Wiedamann’s quality of life has made a remarkable comeback. The retired engineer in Naples recently returned from Delray Beach

IF Antibody test back - so what next
Following up on my previous posts (low B12, started on B12 loading shots - had second today so too early to tell results on symptoms) Finally got my IF antibody test back today Results: 2.9 U/mL (Normal: < 6 U/mL) I'm aware of the inherent reliability of the test (40-60%) so realise that it doesn't

Coincidence?
I joined this site as I am Hypothyroid and have PBC. I read that 'eating gluten was like throwing fuel on the fire of auto immune disease' and asked my Gastro if he would support me going gluten free which he did. 4 months in I was feeling well, having also cut out a lot of processed food, eating more

Non surgical treatments?
I wonder if anyone can suggest any good ways to self-manage the symptoms of endometriosis? I had a working diagnosis of endo 10 years ago following an ectopic pregnancy and difficulty conceiving. I was on the waiting list for a 'find and fix' surgery, but my son came along before the operation did -

zero's experience
i have had Parkinson's for ten years now. I had DBS in June 2013. I am going for a change of battery end of August because the battery was deemed too weak when I went for review in June. Meds have seemed to refuse me from Bromocriptine, Syndopa plus, now since June 2017 Syncapone 100. The doctor said
