38yrs old with FH and recent CHD diagnosis
My cardiologist has recommended I trying
cycling
, building up slowly. If anyone has any good books which deal with 'life after CHD' I would be grateful. Just trying to process it all!

Wednesday work
Would doing a 40min spin workout or
cycling
to and from work be better tomorrow?

To be honest, I prefer cycling to running
To be honest I prefer
cycling
to running; if I’m truly honest, my school years were probably when I last ran. So, I know couch to 5k is going to be tough

I didn't see the point in it as with
cycling
you can rest going downhill!! Keep going all and never forget why you started. Steve.

One morning I’m dipping my toes in
Oh and one thing I’m thinking of doing in between the run days is
cycling
. Is
cycling
classed though as high impact?

Back on the horse....
I think I’m planning on
cycling
on my next run day to try and keep potential injuries at bay. Also I had no splits, trips or falls! 🤣😂

Getting back to walking soon
There is some new staff now so will mean more going off starting a
cycling
group, gym and yoga. As the man who started me wanting to do 3 peaks is still there so we will still be doing the 10 mile hill walk at some point.

? Tendonitis - could anyone advise me please?
I rested it for a week, but just did some
cycling
/walking/cross trainer instead. Then, I did a silly thing yesterday and tried running on it, despite it still not being right. I could only manage about 5 mins and afterwards, it really hurt.

I love
cycling
but just don't feel quite right about riding while I'm trying to manage my cancer responsibly. Any feedback out there? I'd love to hear your perspectives.

How long is this journey?
Having put on weight early in this process and the moon face that came with it I’ve in the last 2 years lost 3 stone, started exercising - aqua, limited gym and
cycling
- and feeling better for it.

I’m taking a week between some runs, sometimes longer, as I’m mixing my exercise up with a bit of
cycling
and some weights. Anyway I did the run yesterday and completed the 35 mins with the 25 mins run and according to my Fitbit did 5.2km.

An Answer I Didn't Want - PVFS - Final Diagnosis?
-On/Off
cycling
of Inosine Pranobex (a.k.a. Immunovir/Neosine Forte) 1000mg x 3 per day. This has been shown to restore impaired NK cell function and reverse immunological changes that occur as a result of severe EBV infection.

Bisoprolol-night or day?
Cycling
is fine and heart rate 120. I have hypertension, diabetes, MS and some moderate atheroma. I am 49. I was put on beta blockers for some tachycardia on exertion. I also have a reduced lung function (70%). Cause as yet unknown. CT scan in a week. Thanks for any advice re beta blockers. ❤️

Unexpected solution to foot cramping when exercising on a stationary bike (personal experience)
I've also tried shorter arm-
cycling
sessions and seen that even an arm-
cycling
session of 10 minutes duration is sufficient to prevent cramping during the leg-
cycling
session. I do my exercise session first thing in the morning, straight after my medication.

Seed cycling
Hi, Has anyone on here done seed
cycling
? I did it for the first time this month (and haven't changed anything else) and have had practically no period pains and I started my period 3 days earlier than normal. I'm normally 32-33 days, like clockwork and today will be day 29.

Dreadmill or Incredimill
To use it for
cycling
, you need your standard run of the mill bike, a trainer device which lifts the back wheel and provides scalable resistance, and some way of recording speed.

Recently diagnosed PMR and unsure about preds
I'm 51, have been fairy fit...jogging 2 miles twice a week, a bit of
cycling
and swimming. Quite robust, though have had 2 years of much emotional turmoil with various severe family illnesses and a bereavement.

A blast of morning air. Great for the soul.
First run for a while, I've been trying to incorporate some
cycling
to help build up strength without too much impact. 5:30 alarm this morning, i was half tempted to roll over and go back to sleep. But no, i thought better of it, my knee was pretty much pain free.
