Some cycling forums have posts suggesting this with one or two guys suggesting that since being on Beta Blockers, hill climbing is a real challenge.

The palpitations and laboured breathing are constant and my pulse is rarely below 90bpm.So how am I supposed to continue with my cycling? A short ride for me would be 20 to 30 miles and a long ride can be anything up to 60 miles.

has anyone any history of getting back to cycling 50 miles at 15 mph ? How soon after episode . I have a holiday cycling in Cuba end of November and currently resting for 2 weeks but then want to get back to cycling so ready for end of month and 50 miles per day for 6 days .

I’d be gutted to stop cycling as I bloomin’ love it!

My question answered looks like cycling could let you get fit without putting heavy pressure on your hips!

I know One should avoid cycling for a couple of days.

I didn't measure V02 max before PMR/ predisolone but I was very fit (hills, running, cycling). Is there any research/ info on this? Thanks.

Cycling helps! Radboud UMC has proven that cycling has a positive contribution to fighting Parkinson's disease. The center has conducted research on cycling and Parkinson's disease, among other topics, and found that cycling has a similar effect to medication for people with Parkinson's disease.

Can't push exercise like I used to eg cycling and running, both I love.. Appreciate any thoughts on where you are at, and if it's possible to prevent worsening...

Would I be able to continue with cycling (maybe on easier tracks)? Any suggestion or shared experience is very welcome. Thanks

I was on wk7 run 3 but went on a cycling holiday , should I just go straight into the 20 min run or backtrack a few runs?

I have overheated maybe 3 to 4 times this week plus my cycling vomiting is acting up

Consequently I embarked on my own trial on my recliner static bike spending 30 minutes cycling four or five times a week. In contrast to the trial I found that after cycling this length of time I am so wobbly and unbalanced for a good few hours after!

I had a stent fitted 3 weeks ago and started gentle cycling 2 weeks. I am a keen cyclist and would like to know how long it will take to full recovery? Also is very slight chest pain normal after stent installation procedure and how long does that typically last?

My weight is going down and I would welcome any advice on diet and cycling pending test results. Apologies, early days I know but hard to know what is best to eat and how much I should try and cycle as normal!

Short history - 6ft 6, both parents with late onset AF and I have a love for endurance sports, especially cycling. PAF started a number of years ago and only brought on by all out efforts with high HR, with alcohol a contributor (red wine the night before).

Doing some gym work and plenty of cycling. It will take a few months before testosterone kicks in. It took Abiraterone to get the psa to undetectable levels. Thanks for all comments

Cycling with joy as I sped round the bends. Never a care at speeds sixty or more Dolomites, Pyrenees, great days of yore. Never a worry that I would grow old. Many a tale of our exploits was told. We rode many tours that beggared belief. This disease we all suffer is such a thief.
