I’ve been
cycling
running or walking 5 days a week and started the C25k two weeks ago. Kicked the sugar and upped my water. Down from 128Kg to 123kg! Legs feel it sometimes but I discovered a foam roller early on which helps tons!

W5R3 done! Yay!
It was also nice to have my hubby
cycling
along beside me (2 dodgy knees). What a way to start a Monday morning. I was a bit late starting work (from home so I’ll make it up) but I’m supposed to be super productive now so we’ll see 😂😊

We would never "feel like" exercising or going to the gym or playing sport or walking or
cycling
. I think we need to develop a strong routine and check in with each other on this community site in order to make sure that we are all held accountable for our actions.

My main sport is
cycling
in which i have been riding 150+miles a week for around 6months now. I have never been able to run my whole life (with many start stop attempts) and building up my fitness through
cycling
i thought it was time to have a go at running.

Couchto5k Week 9 Run 1 ✅
I was cautious about running today as I’ve picked up a slight groin stain from
cycling
! Stopping for ice cream was the culprit! Who knew
cycling
& ice cream was a painful combo! 🚲 🍦 Amazingly, I’ve hit over 5k again! Buzzing!

Motivation to exercise
Normally exercising every day walking or
cycling
to meetings, I need motivation and discipline to do the equivalent now there are no meetings! All I seem to do is gardening and more gardening.

I done something silly!
As I've been shielding, I've hardly been properly out of the house bar a few late night walks and some
cycling
. Then the other day, as the weather was great, I thought let me go out on a proper stroll and get some very much needed vitamin D. So off I went to some fields close by.

I am seriously considering buying an electric bike because I can’t walk as far as I’d like to be able to and I wondered if anyone else with PMR had one and if it caused a lot more leg pain? ( I need to stave off boredom and attempt to lose a bit more weight!!!)! I’d be pleased to hear any comments- positive

TROUBLE TONING UP WITH EXERCISE
When I am training its a mix between
cycling
, yoga and strengthening. Still my stomach and thighs are so chubby and im sure its getting worse. My diet is amazing, I don't eat rubbish or drink fizzy drinks or alcohol.

Graduation Post! 🎉 Freddy and Elation
The very best part is I’ve finally convinced my husband to give it a go (he was adamant when I started that running wasn’t for him so he started
cycling
instead) I can’t wait til we can go for long weekend runs together- what better graduation gift 💝 “Keep on fighting til the end, we are the champions

A stiff heart
One thing I suffer which is a problem is, after
cycling
( which I started 3 years ago to improve health and fitness) I suffer low blood pressure that pretty much puts me on my knees for 5 or 6 hours. It appears the more raised my heart rate the lower the pressure.

Life after traumatic brain injury
A year ago I was
cycling
to my placement as a student nurse and a car hit me. I dont remember it or anything for a couple of weeks. I got plenty of fractures to go with the brain injury but I made a good recovery.

First little group run
Tried to make up for it this morning with 15k of
cycling
and a 5k run around a track on the way home. (Yes, I fully realize that logic does not really hold up, but humour me ok? 🙂 ) The best part was getting together for a meal and coffee afterwards.

Rapid weight gain and failure to lose it on 3mg of pred.
I am walking
cycling
eating little but to no avail. After this weight gain some months later I became adrenal insufficient, so tried hydrocortisone- same problem there- I look cushingoid but of course I am only on 3mg of pred a day. Any ideas as to what may have happened?
