An interesting discovery: Regular jogging blunts the genetic effects on BMI
Even more importantly,
cycling
, aerobic exercise, swimming and dancing "were not found to modify the genetic effects on any obesity measure". Good to know :) Full study below: https://journals.plos.org/plosgenetics/article?id=10.1371/journal.pgen.1008277

Pace maker implant for heart block. Expectations?
I’ve always been very active less than a year ago I walked up Snowdonia twice in a weekend
cycling
100 miles a week. Etc etc. So as you can imagine I am finding this all very difficult. Am I expecting to much to soon. Any advice or experiences. ?

So that’s me signed off from the lupus unit with the lupus diagnosis now removed and she’ll send me back to my rheumatologist to deal with fibro although apparently the only thing I can do is Pilates,
cycling
and swimming with targeted physio to help, none of which have been successful to date unfortunately

An injury and...a plan. I love a plan. :-)
As my body seems to
cycling
through every injury possible known to runners, this one was probably due LOL!

Done it
An old app that I initially obtained to do
cycling
with but got used to measure my walking. Now i used it to measure my running. I wanted to see how far I was running as the C25k doesn't really tell you.

It's really worth it, and anything is possible!
Just some
cycling
to work and occasional walks plus an annual ski trip. I followed the app religiously, with some dieting at the same time. Graduated the programme, then used Park Run as a good way to slowly increase speed.

Acclimatising
So I use this word liberally as with
cycling
and getting a sore butt to begin with and not being able to cycle down the end of my road without feeling queasy and out of breathe I wonder if with running anyone had any tips on this as I have heard running in the sun and extreme heat can be great 👍 for

Spring 2020 Half Marathon Group is go! 😄 Getting the most out of your training
Pick the type of activity we call "low impact", you might choose strength work of various kinds, yoga, swimming, walking,
cycling
, gym machines such as an actual cross-trainer - or rowing is a fabulous exercise!

Last Step of my smoke free journey
What I have been finding with my
cycling
sessions is first 10 minutes of moderate to hard exertion makes me cough up a considerable amount of mucus.

Ongoing pain post crainiotomy
This is causing me much anxiety and I currently can't see me getting back to work or being able to enjoy or do the things I use to do prior to the operation e.g.
cycling
, going to the gym, supporting my local football team, ....... Does anyone relate to this experience ?

Beginner's questions...
and do gentle exercises (I never did do weights or high impact and so on), especially
cycling
and (gentle!) rowing for my knees, which has been good with no subsequent pain.

Try Aaptiv
There are also other workouts for non run days, that includes yoga, stretching, indoor
cycling
and many others. Coaches are highly professional, you won’t get the same level locally. It is not free (£70 per year) but it is so worth it.

I've just ran a marathon
I keep seeing ads for 'Race at your pace' where you set yourself a challenge of running/
cycling
so many miles in a month and if you complete it they'll send you a medal. I'm thinking that'll be 2020s challenge - get a medal every month starting with January.

W4R2 tough but got through.
It was tough this morning but think that's mainly because I did a lot of
cycling
yesterday so legs were a feeling it sooner than usual. Still did it though and had a super quick 2nd km. Loving everyone's posts and reading what people are up to and hits and tips.

Not a walk but a cycle
I didn't plan my exact route but ended up
cycling
20 miles. I was a bit saddle sore though as it's a new bike😂

Shopping for sport stuff 🤗
Came out with my own lightweight running jacket (no need to borrow hubby’s huge
cycling
one anymore), a running belt with space for a bottle and some very light gloves for the winter. Next month I will treat myself to gait analysis and hopefully a new pair of shoes! Happy running everyone!
