I’m following the 1400 calorie recommendation and the couch to 5k exercise program but switching running for
cycling
as I have osteoarthritis and it feels less painful. Can’t believe I’m actually enjoying the food although I am slightly hungry.

Ablation yesterday. All good so far.
To recap if not, I started to get episodes of high hr mainly noticeable when
cycling
. I eventually was diagnosed as having svt. I initially put off having an ablation mainly because I was scared of the damage it might do. Anyway my svt got worse and I went on Bisoprolol 1.25mg.

Week 2 smashed! 👟💪(but it's made me put on weight?!)
I've been walking or gentle
cycling
on the exercise bike on my rest days and have started to make time for doing some planking after each run too which I've always loved to do in the past- something so simple but it works wonders for my muscle strength and well-being.

It's Friday, it's weekend, it's time to be positive 👍
I have discovered a love of
cycling
- if all goes to plan, on Saturday I will complete 1000km
cycling
in August and on Sunday a 50 mile ride (that should distract me from thinking about Regents Park too much). 5. I'm still here! I'm still waiting to run!

Running 20 miles a week,
cycling
80 miles a week, and swimming 2 miles a week. In August, I went to another Rheumatologist for a 2nd opinion. Even though I had the PMR symptoms, I had PMR doubts because it was my 2nd episode and not even 53 years old.

I'm having an MRI tomorrow as there's another theory that it's to do with a
cycling
accident two years ago when I bashed my head.

One year on! My journey!
The couch 2 5k also made me enjoy exercising so I brought myself a manual (cheap) treadmill and I started walking,
cycling
, swimming doing aerobics and using my treadmill too alongside the three 5k runs a week. At work I was ordering smaller and smaller size uniform!

Remission! Then what?
My
cycling
continued with lots of training rides of 30 - 50 miles and I loved it. I was able to continue riding in the Cycle the Seacoast Trek, raising more funds.

Yes! I did it. Lake run complete.
Now I can build up to 10k and also get back on a bike and start
cycling
again - something I haven't done since college.

I’ve been getting very dizzy after
cycling
so much so that when I get off my bike I might need to get on the floor! It’s not a good look and I feel it’s because I’m trying so hard! My next competitive event is on 12 October it’s not a team event I’ll be on my own.

Should I go back to consultant?
Regularly walked 5 miles and enjoyed
cycling
. Then went to the doctor feeling poorly. Had cabg surgery in May 2019 which obviously saved my life but wasn’t entirely successful. CTCA after cabg showed LAD had severe disease, circumflex had diffuse disease and RCA also had diffuse disease.

Abingdon Parkrun #5 - and headphone capers!
Am looking into these "headbones" that use bone conduction technology - also good for
cycling
as they leave your ears open. The picture is the Thames just coming down from Abingdon bridge, on the way to the start of the Parkrun.

Half Marathon Group! 😄 Let's talk training plans!!!
Cycling
, swimming, and yoga are the most popular. I'm a big fan of strength work too - be it bodyweight (yoga covers this to a certain extent) or lifting, but I've noticed some plans give it a miss!

Unable to reduce Pred. Any ideas?
I started with PMR in December 2017 after a
cycling
accident, though it wasn't diagnosed for 3 months. I started on 25mg of pred and got down to 12.5mg without problem. But from that point on it's been extremely difficult to reduce.

Cough...ahem, going commando?
(I cycle too, and go commando with
cycling
shorts, as the friction of underwear on the saddle can cause chafing.
Cycling
shorts are designed so that you're not supposed to wear knickers with them). So, myself and running buddies are wondering if the same applies to running pants?
