Medication side affects after NSTEMI
I quit smoking, improved my diet somewhat and changed jobs from something rather sedate to
cycling
3 miles each way and gardening all day. Certainly fit enough for the DVLA cardiologist examination.

Post double ankle sprain rehab
Whereas
cycling
gives no pain, walking still does and becomes uncomfortable after 30 mins/a couple of kms. I'd like to get back to pain-free walking for longer distances (so would my dog) and would be grateful of any advice or recommendations.

New here!
It has been 1 year and 3 months since he was involved in a serious
cycling
accident, where he sustained a severe TBI. He had skull fractures, swelling, 2 brain bleeds 1 of which was in the brain stem, and underwent a crainectomy 24 hours after he was airlifted to hospital.

Well, that all sounds good to me, so far...but how is this going to impact, our running,
cycling
, walking or anything else? Okay. Apparently, The benefits include helping us to: * Stay calm, stay focused.

W9 jinxed! Again!!!
Then we loaded up the campervan, put the bikes on the back and headed off for a few days
cycling
in the sunshine. Again, this was great, although the longer rides were very tiring, so no running. Got back yesterday afternoon, and just stepping out of the van I felt that tug in the left calf again.

Do I have a problem?
I have been running now for 3 years, completed a virtual half marathon in April this year so that was training either alone or my Son
cycling
alongside.. now I've started running with others a bit more.... this is what I'm noticing... my core temperature increases rapidly, runners a bit older than me

The importance of training your legs (if you can, of course)
- Enhanced Athletic Performance
: Strong legs are fundamental for many athletic activities, including running, jumping, and
cycling
. Improved leg strength can therefore enhance overall athletic performance, which often involves multiple muscle groups.

Changing-Room Chat...April 3... Slip off your shoes and rest up a while...
If work-outs are the thing we should be doing, well, since last Wednesday, I have done a lot; most of it, not even remotely connected with running, walking,
cycling
or anything else! Furniture moving , (heavy oak furniture), lifting, loading, bending , stretching holding and fixing!

Sport after nephrectomy
I used think nothing of long bike rides (of around 90km/3 hours) and 10 mile runs on the weekend with several training sessions (often before and after work) during the week consisting of swimming (pool and open water), running,
cycling
(road and trails), gym and maybe some yoga.

Pacemakers
I'm a hand-

Paraplegic, about to have a Pacemaker fitted followed by an AV Node Ablation and interested to hear from any other paraplegic about how they handled the minimum movement of left arm / left pectoral during the 4 to 6 week settling in period for the leads, prior to the ablation

E bike for exercise
Even taking public transport or
cycling
was tiring. Then I got my electric bike and I love it! You have to peddle to make it go so you still get exercise, but you don't get so tired and you can make it up hills! I love the freedom to go places that it restores for me.

New to PMR and hopefully its on its way out!
I'm 56 and a very keen cyclist (normally 8-12 hours of
cycling
a week), and so am not used to feeling like an invalid! I find
cycling
OK, although my legs feel very heavy, but walking is uncomfortable, and putting on my socks and shoes is very painful!

PMR flare symptoms but bloods clear.
I'm a 59 year old male in the UK who was first diagnosed in 2017 with PMR and until then was a competitive triathlete, so I do try and keep fit which nowadays involves mainly
cycling

Arrhythmia after open heart surgery - any others with similiar experiences?
Prior to this I had no cardiac symptoms at all - I was power lifting in the gym,
cycling
a 20km daily commute and running 5kms weekly. About 4 weeks ago my Fitbit notified me it had picked up an unusual heart rhythm that could be Afib, and so began my journey with pacing issues!
