Weight loss

I decided to write this post to reach out and help as many women as possible.

I believe the best way to weight loss is achieved through hardwork for example exercise and also eating the right foods.

We all have cheat days - that's OK. But what is important is to develop good habits that you can use in your everyday life.

You need a routine in order to achieve sustainable weight loss. If we leave it down to our feelings. Then we will never "feel like" eating healthy. We would never "feel like" exercising or going to the gym or playing sport or walking or cycling.

I think we need to develop a strong routine and check in with each other on this community site in order to make sure that we are all held accountable for our actions.

Good habits are getting up at the same time each day. Starting your day off with a walk around your local park and sticking to it. Coming home and cooking a healthy breakfast. The NHS have plenty of great 5 a day tips for us all to use - including breakfast, lunch & dinner! Exercise for the day is done. Get dressed and go to work. When you exercise your body release endorphins, which increase how happy we feel.

These are all healthy habits and a great way to start your day. Think about how you start your day. Do you give yourself me time? Do you do any exercise with your family? If not, why not start walking or getting the family to support you by going on bike rides. Moving the body is so important for cardio vascular fitness, good heart and lung efficiency and development of neurogenesis and neuroplasticity.

Good luck! Let's stick together :)

Great advice Camella!! I'm working from home during the lockdown and have gotten into a routine of rolling out of bed just in time start work. You have me inspired :) I'm going to make more of an effort to get up earlier and get a small walk in before I start work.

That's lovely! Thank you. You inspire me too. 😁You'll love your walks. You'll feel great for doing this. It will actually make you feel so good. You could always use your phone, "health" section to count your steps. Aim for what feels comfortable. Then progress to walking further, when the time is right for you. I've joined a running club. It's competitive - which is great because it keeps me enthusiastic about fitness.

I've also started writing a, "to do" list each day. So on there are my goals. I try and achieve 3 goals each day. It could be simple things. Work on my website, go for a run and eat atleast 1 piece of fruit. It feels good to work through my goals each day. I always find that achieving small goals are a win.

Keep me posted please. I want to hear all about your walks tomorrow.

😁🙏🏿💙X

Actually, I have always said I can’t exercise first thing because I already get up early but actually most days I’ve been working from home and save myself a 45 minute drive. I could easily go for a walk instead!

Go on😁 Well done! Life is always about fighting for what's right. You owe it to yourself to put yourself first. Get up. Go faster. Go harder. Then you will achieve everything. After quarantine is over. You can continue to go on your walks maybe after work or maybe before. Do whatever is best for you. But keep this routine. Pick the same time each day and do your fitness- consistency in marriage, relationships, fitness are all key to having success in all areas of life. It's what we should all strive for. You can not be great at some areas and lacking in others. Aim for 100% effort. Again it's how we teach ourselves and our children to never give up just because it gets hard. Hope that makes sense. Maintain positive habits. Do not allow emotions to control you. It's about having a positive mindset. I've said this before. You will never "feel like" a run or a walk or a cycle. But we have to move so that we stay fit and stay healthy so that we don't get ill. It's so easy to make excuses. Remember how great you feel after you've done the exercise. Allow that to be your focus. In quarantine I've got up at 4am. I gave myself no excuses. I did the work that morning. I cycled for 1 hour.

Good luck! Let's hold each other account ale. Enjoy your walks.

I have been going for walks, doing yoga and clubbercise every week. But I could walk more regularly.

That's good. I'd love to teach yoga. I think it offers alot of relaxation. Sounds like you are heading in the right direction.
