Lost more than 6 stone but now hit a brick wall

Hi

I’ve Recently gone from weighing 19st 10lb to my current weight 13st 7lb.

I’m 5ft11 and still considered overweight and do still look it around my stomach. My overall goal is to reach 12st 7lb but over the last month it’s come to a halt and I’m struggling to lose any more.

I’ve lost the weight I have with a combination of massive changes in diet, making sure I’m eating the right foods, having my (at least) 5 a day etc, Taking up exercise (going to the gym, walks, badminton, cycling, etc).

I have a far better understanding of food and nutrition now and I’m determined to stick at it but I’m wondering how to reach my final goal and try to lose this last stone! Grateful for any tips

Thanks

Wow, well done what a fantastic achievement! I have just been a here a short while so I am afraid I don't have any specific advise for you. Hopefully someone will come along to help you.

You may have already tried these. I used these to shift the 7th stone. Time Restricted eating [TRE} 14:10 - only eat Breakfast to dinner (no late night munchies) 10 or 8 hour window. Actually, if the 'progress' because you are reaching your goal is only a few ounces daily, that last small snack can make the difference. Or drop the carbs just by 10g or so daily. Or you might be plateauing while your body adjusts and progress will recommence once your body has 'caught up'. Good luck with the last close steps.

Congrats on the weight loss. I too have kinda been struggling to lose the weight as fast. Started Dec 2019 weighing 18st 5 and now June 26th 2020 weighing 14st 1. Height 5ft 10.Goal weight is 11st 6 due to last time I tried losing weight I have set my goal below the higher end of the healthy weight spectrum this is to ensure that if I do mess up I'm still in the healthy range and have more time to fix it. As I have got down to a healthy weight once before but lost my job and put it all back on. Good luck on losing the last stone. I know the struggle.

Thanks will do. 🙂 I know from last time I lost weight we definitely need people around us that are motivators especially for that last bit and for maintaining the weight.
