Feel a bit of a fraud
I was diagnosed over 45 years ago as a Chronic Bronchitic. I had a lobectomy of the left lung aged 18, and have had no medical check ups or treatment since then. Now in my early 60's, my average peak flow (Which I do more from curiosity than anything else) is around 160, I struggle a bit climbing stairs

Years of thinking all the discomfort was normal!!!!!
Hi All I have been suffering with pain since the age of 15, in my stomach with severe bloating, my back, hips, legs and when going to the toilet. I had lots of tests and was told it was growing pains or part of growing up. I also became tired very easily and found it difficult to drink alcohol and

300mg Levothyroxine ?
I had thyroid lobectomy 2008. Lab sample showed papillary cancer. The aim after operation was to suppress TSH to be undetectable and prevent a cancer on the remaining thyroid.Over 5 years on increasing levothyroxine TSH is now 0.77 but my T4 is way out of range at 46. T3 is 8. I am on 300mg levothyroxine

How would I know if MTX is affecting my lungs?
I have been on MTX for 3 months and doing well. I also have bronchiectasis as a result of lung damage from whooping cough when I was 3 years old and had a partial lobectomy (part of lung removed ) when I was 16. I am now 63. I have a productive cough all the time but how would I know the difference

ostomy frequency at night
I'm an Ostomate since 2010, 66 years old woman and wheelchair bound . I can't do much for myself , but learned to change my colostomy pouch with one hand . Because i'm only got liquid output i don't sleep much at night for fear of accidents . How can I overcome those problems ?

Sick of the pain, sick of waiting, sick of it all!
Well I'm on the waiting list again for surgery as the IVF clinic suggested I have my tube removed before we start treatment. But typically it's not going to be straight forward. In the words of my doctor it's major surgery because of the extent of my Endo. He said he would try and get me in ASAP but

my letter from my endo to gp, this is crap!
my endo letter to my gp I reviewed nichola today in surgical outpatients, as you know she has a right thyroid nodule which has been under surveillance for some years now, she has had a further ultrasound scan recently showing there is some increase in the size of the nodule, looking back over

Any advice?
My husband had Chemo and radio therapy 5 years for bowel cancer. He also had to have an operation and the end result was a colostomy. This time last year his legs started to swell so he consulted his GP. He was referred to an oncologist and a scan showed the cancer had returned. He subsequently had 6

Pains in the Summer
Dear all, I don’t write very often here but I do read every single day what you all are being through with this crazy illness and I am sad most of the time. I have been diagnosed with fibro last summer due to unbearable pains but I am sure I started this bit long time ago. I was in England and

I'm so frightened
I am really scared the team are not going to remove these tumours imminently and therefore my risk of ovarian cancer is increased The nurse consultant stated this is due to the extensive adhesions in my abdomen has anyone else come across this situation. I don't care if I end up with a colostomy

Wish me luck for Thursday my lap
I have my lap Thursday, possible colostomy bag as a spot is on rectum, spots on blood supply to ovary so possible loss of ovary and fibroids removed possible hyster. What are the chances of these happening as I am terrified I will wake up with all my 'lady bits' gone. X
