Severe bowel endo
Hi I'm waiting to see my 2nd specialist after a diagnostic lap. Turns out I have an endometrial cyst and severe endo on the back of my uterus and my bowel. My next surgery will be for treatment and a colostomy has been discussed. Is this common or worse case scenario as I'm petrified that I'll have to

Confused :-( - Lung Cancer
We have been on one big emotional rollercoaster!!. My Mum age 57 began back in November she started to get severe pain in her chest, we took her to A&E where they done a X-Ray, the X-Ray showed a shadow on the lung. On our first appointment seeing a Lung Specialist in December 2016 we was advised that

Sarcoidosis or Cancer
I should have explained that my surgeon isn't certain I have lung cancer. Positive PET scan, node doubled in size over 3 months, and is "spiculated " margins. The confusion is that I have sarcoidosis in my lungs for 20 years and they don't know if it's that or cancer. Two needle biopsies were inconclusive

Upcoming Lobectomy
I'm scheduled for a left lower lobe lobectomy on June 20th and am very anxious about what I've heard is terrible pain after the surgery. In fact, I've even considered cancelling it which I know would be ridiculous . I had a 9 lb baby without any gas or epidural and was fine.. can anyone tell me if this

Possible return of endometriosis
My medical history is complicated by a total
colectomy
2 years ago but not for endometriosis so I can't believe this is happening. Any thoughts would be appreciated as I had forgotten what this condition was like until now.

Lump on chest wall 3 months after surgery!!
I had a lobectomy at the end of February as I had a 5.5cm mass in my middle lobe. After being told by the consultant and surgeon that it was unlikely to be cancer, the results came through as stage 2A mucinous adenacarcinoma. I have recovered well, have some nerve pain but nothing too severe. 3 months

Lymph node activity found during lobectomy
Hi all I gave a question that hopefully someone will be able to help with! My mum was told last week that during her right lower lobectomy the surgeon completed a "frozen section" which showed "activity" in the lymph nodes on her right side. I believe he did 3 samples. I know this means cancer in the

Understanding tests !
I have recently posted about not feeling good four weeks after my thyroid lobectomy and will see the specialist on the 23rd May for the pathology results. I have had bloods taken by my GP which have shown my TSH has risen from 0.72 prior to surgery to 3.55 (range 0.3-4.5) which I know could be indicative
