Hi Members

I had colon surgery in 2002

last 2 year I have colostomy , there are some pimple just surrounding my stoma, & these are bleeding & paining.

Is there any suggestion for this asked problem

hi try stoma powder after leaveing your bag off has long as possible,

lie in your bath with the bag off just nice warm water will help,pat dry with nice soft flannel.

i know it make,s more washing but i have a bucket with a lid and soak them in nappie san and they come up lovely.

There are a couple of things this could be. Do you shave around your stoma? If so, sometimes the hair follicles can become inflamed (a condition called folliculitis). This can be treated by a doctor who will need to take a look. The pimples could also be granulomas - again, a doctor or nurse should have a look to work out what the problem is and what the best treatment is. Hope this helps :)
