Yesterday the colonoscopy went well and there was nothing wrong ( it was a surveillance colonoscopy as I had a
colectomy
in 2018) . I stayed overnight in the clinic just in case as my insurance pays for this and my gastroenterologist was happy with it.

staples coming out from the colectomy stump!
I had a colostomy due to CT scan showing holes in my colon and abscesses on the wall behind. I began to have clear fluid leaking from the stump like a running faucet! I told the surgeon about it and he simply shrugged his shoulders and offered no advice. The leaking fluid stopped for a month. Now

Life After Colectomy/Colon Resection Surgery
Hello, Could anyone please share about their experience with a colon resection surgery? Changes in urgency or incontinence or pain? What about eating? Can you eat seeds or nutshell, etc.? How long to heal? Thanks.

Life After Colectomy - Colon Resection
Can anyone tell me realistically their experience after
colectomy
- colon resection surgery? I have been offered a left hemicolectomy and want to know what the true recovery is. Surgeons are minimizing the recovery and say once healed you will probably not notice anything.

Following on from my previous post when I was eventually (after 6months) diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma of my lower left lobe, I had surgery 3 weeks ago to remove the lobe - called a Lobectomy. I’d just like to say even though the lobe was ‘sticky’ and therefore the surgery took 4.5hours, which was longer

Wheezing and Tight Chest
Hi,After having a open lobectomy (RLL) I have had an issue with wheezing at different times if the day along with a tight chest. I was told back in November 2023 it's asthma that's causing the wheezing and I was given a different inhaler (fostair 200mg). It's now May and I still have the same symptoms

Just saying hello as a new member
I was just recently diagnosed with MBC in January 2024 but no stranger to breast cancer as I had already had a tangle with (what I was assured was a very low risk) breast cancer back in 2014 and underwent surgery for a lumpectomy and a subsequent regimen of 6 1/2 weeks of m-f radiation. I thought all

Annual transplant program appointment
Yesterday was my annual transplant program check-in. Here are some highlights for those who may be curious what that entails. First up, unfortunately, is the weight and height check. This is one of the two the most dreaded moments for me. I wore the lightest clothes I could find. I've threatened
